Holy canoli! The Wolfman 🐺 meets the Penguin 🐧 Wild combination!!! All brought together by literary colossus, John Steinbeck! JS wrote alot of great stuff like East of Eden, My Travels with Charlie (did he write Cannery Row?) and other cool novels I read in high school or reform school (I can't recall). Maybe I just dreamt I read them. 🚬But I digress. 💊This is must see, possible classic film. Check it out! Did I miss Grapes of Wrath? sorry.

Another Steinbeck classic, excellent story and well acted.Love the rugged tales around the depression era.People were poor, jobs were scarce and money was hard to come by.When you worked on a farm, you probably stayed there forever in a kind of bondage.Lennie and George never got to realize that dream of their own farm with a house and animals and the freedom to manage their own lives. This will go down as one of my favourite movies. Thanks for screening.❤

As a kid, I watched Bugs Bunny cartoons where they would have some big dumb dog spoofing Lennie. It was very funny. I had no idea that this was from the movie, "Of Mice and Men" until I saw the movie when I was in college. For Steinbeck, for some reason we had to read "Grapes of Wrath" in college instead of "Of Mice and Men". A few years ago, Family Guy did a spoof of the movie. It was pretty funny. I like how they had Stewie as George and Quagmire as Curly which was excellent! Quagmire as Curly: "Stop coming on to my slutty wife!" LOL!

    To a Mouse
    by Robert Burns
On Turning her up in her Nest, with the Plough, November 1785.
    Wee, sleeket, cowran, tim’rous beastie,
    O, what a panic’s in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
    Wi’ bickerin brattle!
I wad be laith to rin an’ chase thee
    Wi’ murd’ring pattle!
    I’m truly sorry Man’s dominion
    Has broken Nature’s social union,
    An’ justifies that ill opinion,
    Which makes thee startle,
At me, thy poor, earth-born companion,
    An’ fellow-mortal!
    I doubt na, whyles, but thou may thieve;
What then? poor beastie, thou maun live!
    A daimen-icker in a thrave
    ’S a sma’ request:
I’ll get a blessin wi’ the lave,
    An’ never miss ’t!
Thy wee-bit housie, too, in ruin!
    It’s silly wa’s the win’s are strewin!
An’ naething, now, to big a new ane,
    O’ foggage green!
    An’ bleak December’s winds ensuin,
    Baith snell an’ keen!
Thou saw the fields laid bare an’ waste,
    An’ weary Winter comin fast,
An’ cozie here, beneath the blast,
    Thou thought to dwell,
Till crash! the cruel coulter past
    Out thro’ thy cell.
That wee-bit heap o’ leaves an’ stibble
Has cost thee monie a weary nibble!
Now thou’s turn’d out, for a’ thy trouble,
    But house or hald,
To thole the Winter’s sleety dribble,
    An’ cranreuch cauld!
But Mousie, thou art no thy-lane,
In proving foresight may be vain:
★The best laid schemes o’ Mice an’ Men
    Gang aft agley,
An’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain,
    For promis’d joy!
Still, thou art blest, compar’d wi’ me!
    The present only toucheth thee:
But Och! I backward cast my e’e,
    On prospects drear!
An’ forward tho’ I canna see,
    I guess an’ fear!

Any colorization that cannot hold stable tints through a single scene should NOT be attempted... and that's what you're always going to see in the titles from Cult Cinema. I'm fully supportive of colorization as a concept, but not when it produces bargain-basement work like this.
