Great tutorial !i'm practicing what you recomended Simon, trying to create melodic lines with the scales notes, i'm using the progressions that i,ve learned from your tutorials to improvise over it ! Thanks for your videos !
Hey PP. Great video. But the title is kinda hilarious. Excuse me while I pause the song for 2 mins while I figure out this chord.JK. Looking at it as a major chord a whole tone above the tonic note makes it so much easier.
My understanding is that the 5th in a chord, especially the left hand, is often left out for a cleaner sound. The 5th doesn't add essential character to a chord.
My dude, you stay dropping the gems in less than 5minutes. I always liked that chord in your intro. Keep em coming. 👍🏽👍🏽
Appreciate it man! 🙏
I stumbled upon your channel and your way of teaching has really helped me with the piano.
I'm really thankful.
💟
That's great to hear! Keep it up :)

Triad pair Easter Egg alert!
Id love to hear a song where this chord is emphasized
Could it be that this chord was already presented in another chord of the month from a couple of years ago? It sounds similar
go back to the scruffy longer hair and wild beard......wayyyyyyyy better look for you vato
Also that’s a great lesson. I’m taking away a lot from these vids as a guitar player
That's great to hear! Keys players and guitar players can learn a lot from each other
🐷

What happens to the hair?!
Ahh you obviously haven't been keeping up with the channel recently 😉
thanks for sharing this. my mind is playing melody right now! it's indeed filthy!
Why is it referred to as “filthy?”
Why no 5th? Is it because the 5th is a G and the 13th an A? And it’s a flatted 7th because it’s a dominant?
My understanding is that the 5th in a chord, especially the left hand, is often left out for a cleaner sound. The 5th doesn't add essential character to a chord.
