- Getting the new boat dialed in, threw some short clips together with better stuff coming soon. Semi-displacement offshore catamaran built from the famous Australian kevlacat mold, 30 feet to the transom and 33 feet including the bracket. Check out Eastward boats website for more info.
If I ever hit the lottery, I want one similar to yours with a forward helm love, love, love the cuddycabin set up. Beautiful rig. 😊 Best wishes ❤️.
Thank you, she has been good to us.
Great boat guys.
No doubt, thank you!
Captian was there any of their new Coastal Cruisers finished? Dave sent some Pics of the Prototype to me.
I think they are getting very close to completing one.
Awesome Boat! Where did you get the cover for the trolling motor?
Got the cover from some store on the rhodan facebook page.
Thanks for the video. These Horizons can use some more love. Was that FLIR you were showing? Awesome if so.
No, flir only uses temperature. This is a low light camera, Sionyx Nightwave is the model.
Thanks for videoing Captain. Awesome Rig . Great build! I’m jealous. I think I saw the portable AC unit my son bought one and uses his Solar Power. How do you like your unit?
Very good. It is comfortable even if you leave the door open all night, if you close the door all night it gets cold.
Are you having any second thoughts on the front cabin? Any challenges with getting up there to put down the trolling motor in rough seas? I reallly like the idea of having a head on a catamaran. Like the old WorldCat 33TE. Thanks for sharing.
No regrets, the cabin and Airconditioning is awesome. Made a queen size foam mattress and its great for overnight trips. Easy to step on the gunnel and there are hand rails on the roof.
That is one sweet build! How long did you have to wait from time you put deposit down? Thank you for posting.
I want to say it was just over a year....you can give them a call and see how they are looking now. May be closer to 2 years now....
@@Evan721sxm Wonder if Dave has 1 mold for the 30 and 1 mold for the 24? Been waiting for a used 30 built like yours with the small cabin to come to market. 2 years is a long time to wait.
@@FRZNTYM1 yep the cabin is awesome. Did some overnight trips and it was very comfortable.
I never see any used Westwards 😢
@@aloissuter1071 occasionally I will see a 24' go up for sale but to date I have not seen a 30 Horizon used for sale.
Nice boat.....
I wish the testing was in rougher waters.... into a strong swell
I have been in some pretty rough water with it. Hopefully i can make another video soon.
What shaft length did you go with on the trolling motor ?
96
@@Evan721sxm . Thanks for the reply.
Did the boat sell?
Yes she is now in Alabama.
How much for the boat
@@MarkWilliamson-d2i sorry it sold.
FLIR was awesome......much better w/o the bar light on.
Love the no frills build. Commercial quality.
Pressure washer makes clean up's quick and easy.
The camera is a Sionyx Nightwave. It uses an ultra low light lense which provides color night vision. Flir uses temperature variations and doesnt show color.
What’s the reason for selling?
I hardly get to use it. Between my wife and my work scedules and having a new born the boat just sits in the driveway too much.... the city has also been complaining about the height of my boat so i will eventually have to alter the roof or park it by a friend if i end up keeping it.
@@Evan721sxmdid you end up selling it?
@@CameronVale-s3z i brought it up by dave. I had an issue with my 3kw transducer but its all fixed now so dave is going to try to sell it for me.
@@Evan721sxm can you send me your contact info? Would love to hear more about it and what you are looking to get out of it.
is it listed anywhere?@@Evan721sxm
