Thank you! This song stood with me for so long, that i decided to write a book inspired by it, adaptating it to the brasilian reality..and now im learning how to play for the book release❤
blammo! I love when I'm looking up a song name + guitar and your videos show up, I appreciate the progressive difficulty that you do. One of my favourite songs and a hoot to play, hope you do more!
I feel that! This one hits home for me very much. Also I guess for me, I write very personal songs and I would love for people to cover them and find their own meaning.
@@towse True. I suppose we all take away our own meaning from a song, despite the intentions of the artist. We apply it to our own experiences metaphorically.
When you add in the walking bass line with the extra strings that are plucked, do those extra strings replace strums? So for the A chord it would be pluck 5th string 3rd fret, pluck 5th string 2nd fret, pluck open 5th string and then just an up down down strumming pattern or would you do the full down down up up down strumming pattern after those individual plucked strings?
Great concise and useful explanation that is really helpful to anyone wanting to learn this track. Great singing and playing too...
That Am poks into my heart, thank you a lot for this easy to follow tutorial

Sufjan's songs are so personal to him that I always feel like an imposter singing his lyrics.
