I had a thought for the peppermint prison...maybe they put the prisoner in the nice part when they have visitors or for media purposes, but make them live in the dungeon part the rest of the time. So they look like they treat their prisoners extra-well but they actually don’t.
Ok, little fan theory! So, the person who broke into the first house was a celebrity, because they went to peppermint prison, a cozy jail for public figures. I like to think that the person running peppermint prison is a little bit of a lunatic. They capture public figures who did a bad thing and they put them in this comfortable jailhouse. Once in a while, they might even "accidentally" let the paparazzi snap a couple of photos of this celebrity living the life in this fancy prison. The public is obviously outraged, because of the many people who are not enjoying their time in jail. What makes this celebrity so different than them, that he dosent even get punished? After the public gets to talking, the person running the prison takes the celebrity down to the underground prison and just kinda forgets about them. No food, no water, no nothing. The public gets even more pressed when they realize the celebrity is gone. They even get a little worried. When the police do an investigation and declare the person missing, the public mourns for this amazing figure. The lunatic running the prison scoffs that the same people who were criticizing this person are now mourning him. He feels as though he has taught society a lesson by killing a man. Sorry this is so long, I really wanted to write a little something. Ive been watching way to many murder mysteries, ha. I know this is probably not what went through Kasey's head while painting, but I just wanted to theorize.
Kasey: "Look at those fish, they look so dumb with both eyes on the same side." Meanwhile, Sole is a RL fish with eyes on the same side and very hurt feelings.
I love when you do the isometric rooms!! They are for sure one of my favorites it is a tie with the 500 prompt videos! But honestly i just love your videos! Secret rooms are always fun when you make them in the isometric rooms! This one with the secret room was really kool!!! Love the peppermint prison!
Pretty sure the dog jumped through the window to surprise the family when they come back from caroling. He's decided to give them the gift of a new dog for Christmas...HIM!! ^_-

I know it wasn't intended, but the hot chocolate ocean reminds me of when I was in South American. My host family just put entire chocolate bars into milk to make hot chocolate and the sand reminds me of the chocolate bar beginning to melt into the milk. It'd also explain the light coloring.

When Casey colored the sand brown I was expecting to see the water blue which reminds me of that chocolate jelly island cake, and then she colored them light brown and I was like "Ohhh..."

I loved every illustration honestly! Also not all the cookies have to be gingerbread or chocolate chip, you can experiment with different kinds and colors of cookie and also put colorful frosting on them!
The sleepy doggy in the first room is cute and the Christmas tree is yummy LOL I love peppermints. I wish my house was made of candy canes. The top part of the jail cell is where they pretend there keeping the prisoners so late don't get in trouble but underneath is the real torture chamber where the prisoners are actually kept
