Heracles/Hercules always feels like he's the original superhero. Tragic backstory and heroic drive? Check. Well-defined superpowers? Check. A supporting cast? Check. Crossovers with other heroes? Check.
Wow ! The. Champions, from afar, what a mismatched group. But wow again it worked ,great art, stories ,and overall a terrific series, that in my mind wished it had not ended at that time. Hercules in the MCU is perfect! He impersonated Namor, fought Abomination and Attuma, dated the Black Widow, the 12 labors would be visually stunning. He also went into outer space with Thor. I am all in on Hercules in the MCU.
You left out the fact that when Pluto tricked Hercules into signing the Olympian contract he wasn't bound to serve Pluto but to take his place as the Lord of Hades while Pluto was free to roam the universe and not even Zeus could interphere because the contract was binding unless Hercules could find a champion to fight for his freedom.
Also left out the fact that Hercules is currently dating Marvel Boy Noh-Varr in Guardians of the Galaxy. No homo? Uh, YES QUEEN. Our hunky Greek god is BI, just like he always was in the original Greek myths.
@@Jumpoable I don't know about how he was in the Greek Mythology but the Romans and the Greeks were always kinda funny that way and given the fact that society now says it's ok to be gay 🤮 it doesn't really surprise me how much their lifestyle is slowly influencing everything you see on 📺, read in comics, and learn in schools and this is just Bible prophecy revealing itself.
I always enjoyed Hercules in the Avengers comics, especially whenever he tested his might against Thor or The Hulk. Interesting bio info here. Would love to see him permanently added to the MCU and Avengers' lineup.
Do you think we will see Hercules in the MCU and that too in Thor Love and Thunder? Which actor do you think should play him? I think it should be Hugh Jackman
I don't think that Hugh Jackman could play Hercules without everybody saying "Why is Wolverine using a mace, where are his claws?" I think it would be too confusing for some people. I really think that it should be somebody that we really don't know, and of course it wouldn't hurt if they had a similar body build as Herc, but for the love of the Goddess, let it NOT be Arnold Schwarzenegger, and although he's played him in the past, Lou Ferrigno would be a great choice, but he's too old to play the part now.
Considering how the villain of the movie is confirmed to be Gorr, the god butcher, it's possible that the Olympians are at least mention and there are some rumors that Zeus will show up in the film. Hercules could appear in the post credit scene setting him up for a future Thor movie (or a Eternals sequel). As for the actor I think it should be someone like Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson (The Mountain from Game of Thrones).
Hugh jackman wont be coming back to any superhero role. He has stated that he is to old to get into shape for any role. So we wont ever see hugh come back as wolverine or play Hercules
Can you do history of the Elementals(Hellfire, Magnum, Hydron and Zephyr), Inferno, Victorious, Gambit, Moondragon, Phyla_Vell and Genis-Vell along with the Supreme Intelligence, Mole_Man and Angel/Archangel along with Exodus and Ex-Nhilo?
I thoroughly enjoy the Hercules comics I've read. He's a buffoon but always learning perspective and life lessons (despite his considerable experience), and sometimes is very wise or especially heroic. There's also some excellent oddball humour in a lot of his comics, with abstract storylines or quirky ideas that wouldn't seem out of place in 2000AD comic or (occasionally) even a Twilight Zone episode (such as when his friend Amadeus Cho is trapped inside a roleplaying game and has to 'quantum theory' his way out).
I love Hercules he so cool I have 3 Action figures of him of marvel legends I also got he’s father Zeus and Ares he’s brother and he’s other brother Kratos
I'm hoping that Hercules will eventually be in the MCU. With Zeus in the new Thor movie, played by Russell Crowe, it would be awesome if Henry Cavill were too play his son, Hercules. The two had great chemistry together when Crowe played his father, Jor-el in Man of Steel. I'm sure the heads at Warner Bros would be worried if their Superman jumped ship, and became Marvel's Hercules.
Hercules Was my favourite Greek Hero Grown up I would watch both the Lou ferrigno version And the Disney version his story is really Extraordinary I wonder what his personality is gonna be Like in the MCU 💪🏻🦁💪🏻🇬🇷🌎🇬🇷⭐👍🏿⭐
Did you like Kevin Sorbo's portrayal of Hercules when it was on TV during the 1990's? I enjoyed the series. But my favorite portrayal of Hercules will always be Marvel's version. I will have to read up on DC's portrayal of Hercules.
His marriage to Hebe in the actual canon mythology that this take is based upon, is the reason he has two sons and with them is named the defenders of Olympus. Only him, and their two godly sons. No one else being needed. He could have kept Hebe and honored that side of the myth; since Greco-Roman times were known to be more open, and Hebe is the goddess of youth, which could have made her more "youthful" IE elastic in mindset. (They do honor the several relationships and canonical tendency to bi sexuality - though I would still argue he's shown female preference) Other than that point, since keeping her in a stable but also admittedly open marriage would have proved him more capable of being the better man than his blood father (Side note: Amphitryon was also Zues' grandson - the guy got around) I would point out that Godhood is not a bloody yo-yo. It's not something that can be stripped. Taken back. Yes, Thor had proved less worthy, more than once, but he's NEVER stopped being a god as far as I know. It's like Wolverine's healing power: You can "turn it off," but it's still passively active. I did like how they wove into play the various versions of the mythology, by saying he might be lying/talking out of his... you know. I'm less fond of the let's repeat the 12 labors a different way. One interesting point; if Order needs Chaos, and Chaos breeds order so they can recognize their truths by the sight of each other, then the Asian Chaos god never wanted to win. It would be very much like Thanos. Bloody genius with all the cards stacked in deck, who only loses because he subconsciously shoots himself in the foot. Intentionally. Can't help being what it is, and isn't supposed to. However that doesn't mean that even if the god thinks it wants an objective end to everything, it actually does. Just a thought.
Well Hercules is currently dating Marvel Boy Noh-Varr in Guardians of the Galaxy. No homo? Uh, YES QUEEN. Our hunky Greek god has finally come out as BI in the Marvel Universe, just like he always was in the original Greek myths.

*Marvel origin story:* _"Zeus [...] decided to sire a powerful son, one capable of combatting future threats to man and god alike."_ *Real-world Greek origin story:* Zeus was bored, horny and had nothing better to do on a Tuesday, so he decided to get some mortal tail behind his wife's back by disguising himself as her husband for a laugh. Because Marvel Comics read like modern myths, while ancient myths read like cheezy soap operas.
But if I am hearing this great Marvel mythological story correctly, then the great Zeus slept with his great-grandaughter and sired his son ole mighty Herc. Smh Also, that was funny how an infant Herc bit down so hard on Hera's nipple that she screamed in agony tossing him aside after he got some Olympia milk. Lol Hera got that good Milk and nipples! Lol

The myth of Hercules’s labors are in the correct order 1. Kill the Nemean Lion 2. Slay the Hydra 3. Hunt and tame the ceryneian hind 4. Hunt and tame the erymanthian boar 5. Clean the aurgean stables 6. Shoot down the stymphalian birds 7. Capture the bull of King Minos alive 8. Steal the man eating horses of Diomedes 9. Take the belt of Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons 10. Steal the cattle of the giant Geryon 11. Take the golden apples of Hesperides with the help of Atlas 12. Go to the underworld and tame Cerberus
What ill never understand about Marvel's intepretation of the olympian Gods. Is the fact they were using both Roman and Greek names for them. Eg Greek You got Zeus, Hera, Ares, Athena, Artemis, Hephaestus and Apollo. But then name some of them after Roman Gods eg Pluto instead of Hades, Neptune instead of Poseidon, Venus instead of Aphrodite. Been wracking my brain for decades as to why Marvel did this mix up.

Loved. Hercules in the. Thor books great stories. Terrific Marvel character. Give him cudos in the Marvel movies ☝
Best Bio yet I love this chanel just waiting for you to upload the History of Wonderman my fav Superhero
Great video bro ‼️🔥
Wonderful video! I actually forgot that this was Marvel's interpretation of the character, so when sentences like "Hercules became drinking buddies with Wolverine" pop up, it's unintentionally pretty funny!
This video was an epic in it's self . Very well put together . I'll watch it again soon as i enjoyed it first time around . Thank you .
Hercules deserves,at the least an appearance in a.arvel movie. Thor maybe? Anyone agree? And thank you for a very fine "video"
The Prince of Power himself! Very cool!
ngl my dad loved this character wished he was around to see the change for the Olympian God of Marvel.
Wow long one. Gonna save it for later. Thanks boss!!!
Hercules in the MCU is perfect! He impersonated Namor, fought Abomination and Attuma, dated the Black Widow, the 12 labors would be visually stunning. He also went into outer space with Thor. I am all in on Hercules in the MCU.
_"COOL STORY BRO!"_
*~ Marvel's Hercules*
Very interesting video 👍👍
I'm new to the channel and LOVE IT. Also, do you have a video on Gambit or Agent Zero?
@@alexandrefrauches132 Agree to disagree about who will play Herc.
Hugh jackman wont be coming back to any superhero role. He has stated that he is to old to get into shape for any role. So we wont ever see hugh come back as wolverine or play Hercules
Hugh Jackman??? No...too old and he's tired of bulking up for roles. The guy playing in the new Reacher series or dude played Boomerang in SS.
This was great. Thanks. Hey how about ROM the space knight.
The Prince of Power doesn't get enough respect, in my opinion.
The Prince of Power.
Good stuff
Thanks!
An underrated fun character
Can you do history of the Elementals(Hellfire, Magnum, Hydron and Zephyr), Inferno, Victorious, Gambit, Moondragon, Phyla_Vell and Genis-Vell along with the Supreme Intelligence, Mole_Man and Angel/Archangel along with Exodus and Ex-Nhilo?
I would love to see The Prince of Power vs The Man of Steel !💪💪💪😀
Hercules: cool dude, until he was ripped apart by Legion.
Marvel shall give us Hercules !
I pray Kevin Feige introduces him in the
MCU
💪💪💪HERCULEEEEEES....FOR THE MCU!!!!!!💪💪💪
can you please do a video on power princess zarda aka marvel wonder woman
I love Hercules he so cool I have 3 Action figures of him of marvel legends I also got he’s father Zeus and Ares he’s brother and he’s other brother Kratos
Hercules God of Fist and Blade ..
Can you add hyperion and blue marvel to your list please?
The best thing about this video was at the very end, when Amphytrion was called Hercules' real father.
I really hope he appears in Thor: Love And Thunder since his father will appear in the movie
12:06 which comic issue is this?
Currently, Naomi is a television show on The CW. The show airs on Tuesdays @ 9pm after Superman and Lois.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWW INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!
Very heroic story!
@@toddsands6000 oh Yeah kevin's Performance Was Cool
Whewww What-A-Life 💯
Question! Who's wearing that Golden girdle now ?😃 great information and video
God, comics really hit the shitter in the 90s, didn't they?
That's an understatement because boy,did they ever.Marvel even went bankrupt in the Nineties. It was a dark time for comics, for sure.
Can you do history of Ironheart, Jane Foster Thor, Eric Masterson_AKA_Thunderstrike, Amadeus_Cho, the Griever, Pepper Potts AKA Rescue and the Agents of Atlas along with Crescent, Morgan_Le_Fey, White Fox and Luna Snow?
wait in the part there at 37:24 was that Hera talking did she finally call Hercules her son or is Athena since he shouting her name? I never thought of Athena as his mother if that is what that was :( shit I feel like I wanna find some way to read these books from people I used to enjoy as a kid Hercules old stop motion movies in Argonauts and now they also have badass Conan in modern comics my intro to Conan was the Arnold version same like when I saw him as Hercules in New York lol 40:09 what a hit Zeus lining up a bolt for you :D
I love Herc. He's kind of a secret guilty pleasure, the big dork.
*Marvel origin story:* _"Zeus [...] decided to sire a powerful son, one capable of combatting future threats to man and god alike."_
*Real-world Greek origin story:* Zeus was bored, horny and had nothing better to do on a Tuesday, so he decided to get some mortal tail behind his wife's back by disguising himself as her husband for a laugh.
Lol
Greetings! 🙂 - Thor & Hercules were always my favorites heroes after I discovered that there were MORE than (The Saturday Morning Justice League)😍📺 LOL... But after growing up and researching all these various "Myths & Legends", it made it even MORE interesting to discover that SOME of it, or maybe even a LOT of it was based loosely on ACTUAL HISTORICAL EVENTS, and DID happen on certain dates to specific people!! That AMAZED ME to know that there really once WAS a time of Giants & Monster - and a LOT of them too.. WOW!!
But in the case of Hercules, we need not attempt to date his "deeds", because Hercules was simply a metaphor for the (Sun). ((Hercules's 12 LABORS)) are simply the (THE THE SUN PASSING THROUGH THE 12 ZODIACS). --- FOR INSTANCE ---- "Cleaning the Aegean Stables" is the easiest too define = (Aquarius - The Waterbearer)!!.... "Capturing the Golden Fleece" is next easiest = (Capricorn), His "LION Shawl" = (LEO).. and so on!! Anyywhoo...🙃 Carry on folks... VERY COOL CHANNEL!!!
They're both two of my favorite Marvel characters, too! It's funny,I plan to write to my own comic books and I've got my own specific versions of Hercules and Thor that I'll be doing comic books for, too! But my versions will be very different from the Marvel versions.
The myth of Hercules’s labors are in the correct order
1. Kill the Nemean Lion
2. Slay the Hydra
3. Hunt and tame the ceryneian hind
4. Hunt and tame the erymanthian boar
5. Clean the aurgean stables
6. Shoot down the stymphalian birds
7. Capture the bull of King Minos alive
8. Steal the man eating horses of Diomedes
9. Take the belt of Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons
10. Steal the cattle of the giant Geryon
11. Take the golden apples of Hesperides with the help of Atlas
12. Go to the underworld and tame Cerberus
Please do modok since hell be in ANT-MAN 3
OK 👌" U got Hercules' origin Great 👍! When are U going to narrate Thor's origin story 🤔?? It's really about time his story is told
No love for the 2 Bob Layton miniseries? Hercules in space, it was one of my favorite tales about the ol' Prince of Power.
Those were technically in an alternate timeline because they took place in the 24th Century.
Hercules is basically just a drunken version of Sean Strictland going around punching people all the time. 😂😂
I keep hoping Hercules will get a movie . If not by himself then maybe as The Champions of Los Angeles .
