Great highlights but would be nice to see a route map and elevation chart at the start of the video highlighting key points on the course.

I was so looking forward to watching this race from Sheffield to wherever! Couldn't you have made the video longer? I am watching on You Tube from Michigan, USA, originally from Sheffield, and over here our commercials are more than six minutes at a time. I would have loved to see all of the villages you rode through.

My daughter's school is here (after Tickhill), and I can see her. The kids love that they can cheer the cyclists on. :) ♥

I'm sure it was said tongue-in-cheek, but I loved it! So right for Britain, somehow. And poor, cold and damp
      Perfect

Wouldn’t be a tour of Britain if it wasn’t grey! 🤣

What was the point of Alaphilippe’s attack??? Made the first breakaway: aggressive but fine, I guess. But then kept pushing the pace up every hill and rode himself to the ground for what??? Didn’t even have enough left to contest the bonus second at the intermediate sprint! Honestly I hop the younger riders in this peloton are not learning race tactics from him!

For him it's a training block for the European and World championships coming up into in the next two weeks.

@@John-r9x5h mmm personally I think sport science and training methods have improved so much from the days when riders took part in races as stepping stones and preparation for future, more important, ones that they can now show up for target races in peak condition. See Vingegaard at the tour de France ( maybe not so much this year where the injury sustained due to the crash at the tour of the Basque country dictated his preparation but any other year) . I think his 'races on instinct' and him indulging in his reputation of a 'mercurial' rider does not make him an effective (long) breakaway rider. Said so he is a talented rider with a skillset that is probably best suited to punchy finale
