I appreciate your showing such fabulous skills. I love how you continuously smooth the fabric to ensure its tauntness. I especially liked the way you had done a close up on how to pleat the curves on the upper back edge, completely beautiful.Although I have been a skilled seamstress for over twenty-five years I am a novice to upholstery so I repeatedly watch your videos soaking up the info like a sponge every morning as I my coffee. I might watch the same video for an entire week but I am picking up something new everytime. I am having to wait for the remodeling in my living room to be finished ..then it will be my turn. I have already built a pair of sawhorses to be able to work on. Thanks for everything you teach :-)
I bet he wraps the neatest Christmas gifts.
+Tia Conner Thank you for watching our video we do appreciate it.

I really learned a lot today, and totally appreciated how you took the time to smooth and perfect the corner pleats, I hand make 16X16 floor pillows and I totally understand the importance of this step!
I have such tool envy! The right tool for the job makes all the difference.
You are officially my upholstery hero. I have learned so much from you. Can you do an upholstery video on an armless sofa please!!
+JOSEPHINE L Thank you and thank you for taking the time to watch our video.
Very good work I like to learn from you
Glad I watched I was always wondering how they put the back on. I upholster a sofa years ago but did finished the back. Now with the right tools I will try again
Great job and beautiful work. I’m also a Upholsterer and always appreciate good work. Currently, I am upholstering a sofa that I know was mass produced because, a true Master of Upholstery knows how to master their project without a million staples in the place. It’s just not cost efficient 😉!
I got inspired watching this video but then reality set in that I know damn well I cannot do this🤣
Me too
Me too🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you look at all the steps, you get overwhelmed. Honestly it is not that bad. Look up the carboard and materials, tools needed. Take it one step at a time and I bet you can do it. I saw my mom reupholster the sofa when I was about 7. She worked on it evryday and then covered her work back up so we could sit on it. Single mom with 3 kids aged 9,7 and 5 at the time. Yes, you can do it.
9 years later, I did my entire VW Beetle interior and then later an F-150.
@@BradySzabo How is your mam doing nowadays? I hope she's still with us.
Uh, wow, very thorough! I thought I could do this myself but after your work, I don't think I'd want to attempt this myself!!! Awesome job!
+Elle L Thank you and thank you for taking the time to watch our video.
+Elle L i up holstered my couch years ago. i had fun learning how to do it. just take your time. i just watched how i took each piece apart and i took my time putting the new fabric pieces on. this video is great.
You make it look so easy and I know it can't be, you are a true artist. Thanks for sharing.
When I had my other computer I followed u. Lost my computer and account. So glad I found you guys again. You are the best
I love your attention to detail I'm learning how to be professional in what you do thanks for sharing this
I understand way sofas are expensive now. look at all the material. wow. great job.
i am reupholstering my daughters couches. this is my second time reupholstering a couch. i like your video. can't wait to get started. I found microfiber material at a great price.
+Bee W Thank you for the compliment and thank you for taking the time to watch our video
+Bee W Microfiber holds up pretty well?? I would love to give this whole diy thing a try since I love dabbling in stuff.. How much would you say it would cost do a reupholster?
i found microfiber for 6.95 a yard. i got a mustard color for 3.95. i bought 38 yards. the fabric is great. as soon as i find my notebook i will give you the company's name. i am reuphostering 2 couches, 4 sets of curtains, an ottoman and a chair for 38 yards. go on youtube and look for videos on how to measure. i am seamstress so i went by the width of the fabric which is 56 or 58 wide. i measured the width of the back times 3/4 of the front, the sides inside and out, the front lower edge of couch, each pillow and a 30 x 30 pillow for my ottoman, 2 1/2 yards each for the curtains, i want them to touch the floor and spread out a little. i will get back to you on the store. i found lining at another site 1.95 a yard. i realy search for low price good quality fabric.
oh by the way i am taking the fabric off the couches, using them a templates and making a slip cover. then i will staple it to the couch taking in consideration to leave enough to fold over on the lower edges.
Bee W Thank you now I understand your measurement way better then the videos I have been watching. Thank you for being so kind to answer me back.. :)
I absolutely love your work. I like the way provide close up shots of your detailed work. You're so inspiring
I have a question my couch has the pillows attached, how can I cover that with my new fabric?
Once you take apart your couch you'll see how it's all connected! And you'll be surprised how cheaply they put it together! No wonder couches fall apart! But you can easily rebuild it twice as strong!
And I too have major tool envy! lol! I like tools, and I could just envision myself reupholstering my loveseat, then when I saw the hard work that goes into each step and those wonderful tools, I thought Nah! I need to contact you!
This is amazing! Thanks for the video. I'm trying to DIY an armchair and this has been the most informative video I've seen! Good luck and Blessings in your bussiness! -DR
Мастер-золотые руки!
when youtube becomes educational, you have covered everything i wanted to knowstep by step
This is so detailed, all the best and keep posting more videos. Could you guide on how to reupholster the old sofa with springs in the base.
Astounding work! I wish you can reupholster my Victorian couch to something modern 😍
this is just amazing ....i tried to upholster my leather sofa i made it just about right but after seeing ur vdos i think its was crap ...hehehhe ... u r amazing i wish u live in Birmingham UK ...
Naureen Khan
There ' s a guys called Chris Rainbow here in the coments From England that can help you.
I can see how the correct fabric choice is so important. I can’t imagine choosing such a basic fabric and paying someone to reupholster with it. Seems like you could just go buy a sofa with that already on it. If you’re going through the effort and money, make it count!
Beautiful job. How did you attach the front arm piece without the staples showing?
Its sewn
+Kirsty Sturgess
^means the front bit of the arm the thing he uses at the end.. it looks like a staple gun but its not..
Yeah, I was hoping to find the answer to that, too.
He's using headless nails. They're very fine so they go thru the fabric without leaving a hole but get embedded into the wood structure underneath.
If you mean the end bit it is a nail gun! It's better to do that before upholster it and then bang them in using a hammer. That way the facing definitely stays on.
Wow that is some professional work! Wish you guys locate somewhere near me since I have a love seat that needs upholstery big time!
great job. The music is too much tho.
it's better than most generic ass music they play on these kinds of music.
Very good explanation of how to upholstery works....Thank you!
the sissoring and tucking and pleating always amaze me
Thank you for sharing your work of art
Gracias por compartir tus conocimientos, queremos retapizar nuestra sala y con tus consejos parece que si lo podemos hacer. desde el Distrito Federal, México. Saludos
Great work and visuals. I learned a lot.
Can I recommend that in the future you add more commentary to all of the steps you didn't speak of and move the camera around so we can see angles the camera can't. Also what tools are you using.
Absolutely amazing 🤩
perfecto, me gusta todo lo que muestras eres muy profesional en lo que haces sigue asi que Dios te siga iluminando.
Great Job.Its beautiful
hermoso el sofa, hermoso tu.....gracias por compartir tu profesion
Fabulous, I love your video, I have a sofa that is going to be done following what you do..however, I have no idea HOW you put the facing on! What was that machine? It wasn't a staple gun when you applied it to the sofa..so HOW did you put the facing on please?!!
I came here to ask the same thing!
احببت كثيراً عملك وكل الفيديوهات الموضوعة بارك الله عملك
This is a great video - My question is what did you use to nail the facing of the armrest? It looks like a nail gun, but wouldn't the nail show on most fabric?
Can you share recommended tools/equipment for us DIYers to use that is affordable but offer professional results? What was the length of your staples or nails?
I enjoy watching your work. Wish you were in Texas.
girl I know, my sofa is the perfect size but it's old and falling apart, foam coming out so I taped it with duck tape, I wish they were her near Houston
Good work, Nice couch
Nice job. Well done
Wow that’s definitely different. The company I work for consist of cells that make different furniture. Our cell is a 6 person cell we make 3 seaters electric recliners even some with console. We make about 24 units a day boxed and shipped, great money!
The second of your videos I’ve watched & you are a master, I love the way your hands smooth the fabric at every staple & it shows in your finished product ....attention to detail! I will be using your videos as my reference guide.
Thank You.
Darren
Cool to watch and learn how its done. I am wondering though...the only thing left after its stripped and re padded is the frame of the couch...literally just the wood. everything is being replaced. Surely this wouldn't be cost effective/worth it for the owner.
Very nice I love it.
Excellent work 👌👍
aunque no entienda siempre me enseñas,solo hablo español, tus explicaciones son muy buenas gracias , por preocuparte por los demas
Great professional job!
Como fue que pego lo dferl brazo

You are an expert!
+Camille Rodriguez Thank you and thank you for taking the time to watch our video.
What kind of adhesive is in your sprayer? Great job btw!
probably 3M spray adhesive for automotive and upholstery.
Today is 6 Jul 21, and this is my first time seeing this video! I have to say, this is such masterful work! are you still in existence and can you be reached in the Myrtle Beach area?
Me gusta tu trabajo saludos ..
I need to know how you did the seam on the front part of the armrest. The video went from the padding to the armrest cover.
very impressive work bro. . .
Excellent job.
muy bonitos.Que tela podemos usar para tapizar sillones

Love the loom of chenille.
I am getting my sofa upholstered. Is chenille durable??
You are a real and good master! Thank you!
Very nice !! Thanks for sharing. Could watch your creations for hours. :)
Love your videos. I have learned a lot from you.
What alternative so would you recommend for someone at home who does not have access to industrial supplies like that
You are just amazing
When you put the fabric for the back rest do you put the pull first o do you start from the top? Thank yoy
Very good work I like to learn from you
beautiful content master successful ☺️ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I want to reupholster my futon/couch. Any tips on how to get that done?
That looks incredible! I want to change up my leather sofa
When you attached the face panels to the sofa with the nail gun, do you ever have any issues with holes in the fabric? I have an orange velvet sofa that I'm doing for my daughter (I am not a professional, BTW lol!) and I'm a little nervous about the nails creating small noticeable holes.
Did you use a pin nailer on the “facing” panel at the end????
If so…. That’s genius.
Lovely job, where can I learn to do this? I can't stop watching!!!
I would like to know that also. I tried to google it but didn't get good results. You used to be able to go to technical school and learn it but they don't teach things like this anymore.
Amazing job well done!
I did learn a lot from you . Mr . Alo .
You forgot to show the stripping of the sofa part, that is actually a big part of the job that takes aprox 6 hrs just to take off the old fabric
maybe i over stated the 6 hrs. But to get it nicely stripped off and cleaned and depending on the piece it should take about 3-5 hrs (2 yrs working at upholstery shop as stripper)
+Shane carwin I've been doing upholstery stripping since I was 10 (dad has upholstery shop) and I'd have to agree that a sofa takes about 5 hrs to strip. And that's with years of experience. May take longer if it's made of hard wood where the staples are more stubborn.
Shane carwin. So true. That's the part I hate doing
He forgot a lot!
Great job!! Such details you're awesome that means you love you're job.
Amazing job!
Good job
Can you link all your products including foams, fabric....thx
Amazing video to watch!
Wowwww! exactly what I need and want to do...Thanks!
Good video, interesting to see the entire process.
Great work! How many yards of fabric did you use & how do you estimate? I have a couch about this size.
I need to pad a deeply curved vintage chair. It was channel backed but I want to change it over to a buttoned back. Any videos on this.....
Love to see your work it's very neat... By the way how did you fix the facing??
What’s that wee thing called that you using to keep the grey material down
thanks alot.... is good to learn from you..... pliz teach on how to make a frame for different soffers thank you

@ ALO Upholstery- please recommend a good upholstery staple gun. i want to try reupholstering a leather bench that I've had for a while.
How did he put the front arm facing on to keep “whatever he was using to nail it down so it won’t show imprints
how long have you been upholstering furniture for either new or reupholstering..?
flawless Sir
Can you change the upholstery on a leather sofa that reclines to a fabric sofa?
