I wish these gig apps were around when I was raising my kids. I spent a lot of time away at my W2 and you can’t just leave to go take care of someone or something really quick. Time is precious and now I’m full time gig worker my kids already left the nest. But at least I can go to Oklahoma when I want to or help out my other son when he needs me to. My first year of full time gig work was a struggle but you learn and adapt!! UDM enjoy your kids because you said it! Time is something you can’t get back!
Can always make money, but you can never go back and make up time you miss with kids
Fantastic talk, guys. I love when you two chop it up. Fatherhood and gig work is definitely a balancing act. I have to make sure I don’t get too caught up in making money. It feels good to be there for my kids’ special events without worrying that “my manager” won’t give me the night off. Know what I’m sayin’?

See, **THIS** is why I am subscribed to UDM's channel. HE is an example that many, many, many need to follow. Great guy. He ALWAYS has great character. He puts his family and kids BEFORE this Gigwork and You tube stuff. ...He KNOWS what's important. Always carries himself with integrity... He's the best!

Both of you guys would crush insurance sales… I work 1099 and can’t belive the money I’m making with the amount of hours. I’m never driving for someone else again.

I think having to sacrifice, knowing when to and show your kids hard work is important is also a balancing element. My dad never refused ot to the point the boss had to tell him to stay home. There's always balance but what do we weigh that at is an important lesson to teach kids

Being able to make $250 in a few hours and go home to spend time with my family when I feel like is 100% worth it
Yes is this just on catering orders and how many do have to do. We could probably do four or five orders unless you have a couple of snack ones in 4 hours. Of course you probably need like a small SUV you can't do it in a car because somebody's orders have to be a thousand bucks or more.
You work so you can live your life. You do not live your life to work.
Like I tell anyone I meet; this is a HUSTLE. You have to work the apps. These app are not made to make you the money you want. You have to put the master your market.
