Great information!!! You can gain weight as a carnivore if you’re eating too much dairy and/or snacking in between meals. Exercise is beneficial even if it’s just a 10 minute walk after your meals. you stop eating foods that raise insulin: carbohydrates. Mainly those that are highly processed such as anything with flour (bread, cookies, cake, crackers, tortillas, pizza, subs, etc.), starchy carbs such as pasta, potatoes and rice, and of course, sweets. And be hungry, and also miserable??? I lost 25% of my starting weight after going low carb and not starving myself and only stretching and strengthening and light hand weights because I have back and knee issues; I have a sedentary lifestyle. I went low carb to remit my diabetes and have become metabolically healthy. Amazing that just by cutting the carbs I am now healthier than I have been in the last 35 years.
What I found, that I knew from the beginning was fat will make you Fat. The distinction is are you complete and though in your muscle development women and men, boys, or girls. If one is sedentary and everything is in the proper state of health that Im describing and more Fat than needed will add on. If one is a body builder and wants to shred they can eat more protein without and usually have no transference of energy into fat. But if someone most middle aged people, and mostly sedentary that has stored body fat and eat too much of what most carnivore Dr. Prescribe in a ratio of fat they definitely will stall or not lose fat at all. If the history of a person who has high insulin resistance for a long time then they usually will gain fat because of sustained insulin and will have to adjust accordingly. (Fat will make you fat) if the conditions aren't right. Lastly all of them, all of them, so-called authorities Are full of SHIT on what they have been shouting to the moon don't basically worry about the fat well fk them they directed a lot of people to not lose fat. Totally agree! I'm healthy and nut fat but I want to heal my body so started my carnivore journey 4 months ago and I never felt better. For god sake people, it’s not insulin! Unless you are in full ketosis, your body runs on glucose. The food you eat almost always has all the three macronutrients. What happens in the normal state of metabolism is that your body burns the glucose or stores the excess as glycogen and given most people eat in caloric surplus, your body will store the dietary fat as body fat and that’s how you gain weight. You can simply test this hypothesis by eating all the carbs you like and keep the fat intake as low as 10 to 30g per day. Go test this for yourself. You can also study a textbook called “High Carb Fat Loss by Rusty Moore” that is a short and sharp textbook and has all the references to studies you want. Please don’t be fooled by these speeches. Go and test it for yourself.
Oh my gosh....do NOT believe R Moore! So dangerous . I found out hard way. Nearly killed me.... it truly IS insulin and why so many have truly found that zero carb has remarkably improved all health markers. Age 65 and over last 4 year of zero carb ... reversed T2 diabetes, lost 80 lbs, zero brain fog , energy thru the roof and excellent labs. Moore's book is garbage and people will find that by the time they reach their 60s will have truly trained their health. Carbs lead to so metabolic problems including dementia.
For Christ sake, so much dogmatic ignorance. Remember to get back in here in some years to correct that statement. ;-) BTW Nowadays I call carnivore a MIRACLE. Yes, with capital letter. Not from a dogmatic book. But from the amazing changes of my well beaten. More than half a century body.🙂

You're addicted to SUGAR, not chocolate. I defy you to est some pure cocoa (chocolate) without any sugar. You won't want any more, I promise you. Try it.
CARBS, namely sugars are highly addictive! There's studies pointing to being more addictive than cocaine! What about that?!
On a personal level, I was/am totally addicted to sugars. Nowadays I keep them well away from me...Slowly cleaning more than half century of addiction. 🙂
I agree with what pearlhandle8321 says that it is the sugar that is addictive. I used to be able to eat a family sized block of chocolate. Since changing to low carb I can now eat just a few squares of Lindt 95% chocolate and be satisfied.
Host needs to let dr Ben talk quit interrupting him
Awesome interview. No cereals for me. 😂
I can’t get through this, and Ben is my favourite health professional. Too much fluff and chatter.
I tried to sign up for your email and I get a msg saying I’m a Bot…🥴
If I’m having blood work done, can someone please tell me the test that I should have to check my heart and my insulin?
Fasting insulin is one test. What about your heart do you want to test? Or can you specify with a timestamp in the video where they are referencing the test you want?
@@gregbryant1458 check out Dr. Ken Berry videos on what test to get. Good luck!
@@Jupiter_Crash I don’t know enough about what specific tests for health, heart and insulin to ask for. I’m going to my heart dr for a yearly checkup and want to know what tests to ask for
@@gregbryant1458 - ask for Cardiac iQ. It’s an in depth analysis of your cholesterol numbers including sdLDL particle size, ApoB, Lp(a), arterial inflammation, c reactive protein, and more. If you have any family history or concern about coronary arterial disease you can ask for a CAC (coronary artery calcium.) This is a quick CT scan of your heart and a great baseline to have. CAC are typically inexpensive so if your insurance won’t pay you can ask your doctor to request one and pay out of pocket. Let me know if you have anymore questions. I recommend writing down everything you want and your concerns so you don’t forget anything in the short time you have with your doctor.
@@gregbryant1458 - if your doctor doesn’t think you need any of this or your insurance won’t cover them but you research them and think they are important you can also go online and order the blood work yourself. I think the CAC requires a Dr. referral but the bloodwork doesn’t.
I have to disagree because I went in to this at a 14 a1c and lost plenty of weight...the people who gain weight inevitably and across the board don't follow the diet as designed
No time stamps
...can u name the best foods for a type 2 diabetic to eat who is a vegetarian? I am only eating above ground veggies for carbs............
First and foremost leave the absurd vegetarian path. With the crappy fruits, veggies, starch and other carbs dumped along all the "veggie" oils and margarine.
- Full carnivore 80/20. With 80 being animal fat and 20 protein.
Just for kicks, I had my own full bio garden. No pesticides, etc. Loved my fruits and veggies, etc. As you, got a "nice" type 2.
BTW Nowadays I call carnivore a MIRACLE. Yes, with capital letter! 🙂
Check out this video which explains what carbs are: Glucose is everywhere - Sheryl Fox.
I have 65 triglycerides , my Dr wants me to for a test and depending on the results he will.put me on stating 😢
Statins will raise blood sugar, but most docs will not tell you that. If you do decide to take a statin also take CoQ10 supplement
I am not do statins.
Please son check your ego....you have all these great guests. Especially Ben and all you ever do is wanna talk about yourself .
Dhru shut up! I didn't come here to listen to your long winded monologues. I wanted to hear Dr. Bikman more.
beans have protien but no fat
And massive carbs~no good
And not all the amino acids, so it's an incomplete protein source.
Beans are considered a carb.
Bags Boxes and Barcodes Beware
can we please just hear Dr.Bikman?
I often hear people saying we should aim for a caloric deficit..................
No, no and NO...😉
And be hungry, and also miserable??? I lost 25% of my starting weight after going low carb and not starving myself and only stretching and strengthening and light hand weights because I have back and knee issues; I have a sedentary lifestyle. I went low carb to remit my diabetes and have become metabolically healthy. Amazing that just by cutting the carbs I am now healthier than I have been in the last 35 years.
Would love to see The Biggest Loser run by Dr B
This particular fat paradigm is only becoming understood now .Baker Chaffee Bart Ken Berry and more "didn't know what they were talking about. There is so much more I just didn't feel to articulate about with this subject. I along with way too many were mislead by the Not experts but so called experts.
a lot of people can't moderate their intake of calories so it's no use
Conventional "wisdom" might tell you so. BUT that's a lie and a myth. Cut the ADDICTIVE carbs And make a proper Human diet. I.e. Carnivore. And your "moderation" will return as the body was designed for.
On a proper diet the body will tell you when to stop. Something that do not happen on carbs and processed food.
Shall we say Oops! ;-)
Is there something in here about losing visceral fat? I'm 20 minutes in and glazed over.
Lower sugar and carbs to bring insulin down
@@intuitivediane Thank you.
Do HIIT program like sprint combine w/ ketogenic diet. Check Dr Sean Omara for visceral fat burning .
You may watch dr. sean o’mara podcasts: it is specially on visceral fat.
😊
@@elenakomuves4017 not doing no carb, but thanks
Who edits this stuff? Not having timestamps is pure amateur.
Host babbled too long
Carnivore diet. That's it.
No thanks. It’s not proven yet.
Totally agree! I'm healthy and nut fat but I want to heal my body so started my carnivore journey 4 months ago and I never felt better. My focus has become sharper, bloating is gone, energy levels are high, I'm sleeping much better, mood has improved a lot and my bloating is gone! No going back to my old way of eating!
@@RojaJanemanBy who? Scientists? LOL
@@lillian3890 by time. Once a generation has experimented on itself and there’s data, then there’s a chance. Not before.
@@RojaJaneman - Absurdly WRONG!
Tip: Try it. It's that simple a month or two, of serious trial Will make you come here and correct your statement in a jiffy. LOL 🙂
Why is the host babbling about himself instead of interviewing the expert? Sheesh
protien in beans does not come with fat
It’s also not very useable and is a poor source of protein.
@JeffEmmersonSocialWork Keep eating like that until you realise otherwise. I hope it won’t be too late by then 🤞🏻
@JeffEmmersonSocialWork Laugh mate! Been there! 😃 One day you will be furious at yourself! 👍
For Christ sake, so much dogmatic ignorance. Remember to get back in here in some years to correct that statement. ;-)
BTW Nowadays I call carnivore a MIRACLE. Yes, with capital letter.
Not from a dogmatic book. But from the amazing changes of my well beaten. More than half a century body.🙂
This guy must never research too hard when it comes to finding protein without fats and nature yeah but herd of people eating so much rabbit they die of low fat intake?? rabbits, are extremely low in fat
What does this even mean?? Rabbits? 😂
