These small things are so beautiful and intruding to learn so we don't make silly mistakes!
I have said this several times and i am gonna say it again.

Is it possible that in the 2nd case for the light to undergo total internal reflection? I feel like it would but can someone confirm?
Of course it can, it just need fulfill the condition of the incident ray being greater than the critical angle and the light is already passing from denser to rarer media.
