Hi Sarah! I love your quirky flower garden! The many techniques that you used added texture & really brought the cute little garden to life! The beads & sequin really add the right type of sparkle to the flowers! Nice job on the video and your garden!! TFS You are great! Happy Creating! Samantha
Your piece is looking really pretty Sarah. Love your flower garden and your pretty bird. The beads and sequence add just the right amount of sparkle. Looking forward to seeing it finished. 💕🧵
Thanks for sharing and learning us how to make different kinds of flowers. I am totally new with ALL hand stitching and had never in my life though I would learn it. My sister have always been working with fabrics in every way. She makes costumes for theaters and have just made a book about weaving. So she is absolutely amazing with all kinds of fabric stuff. I was so fascinated with the things you could make with fabrics, yarn ets 😍 Because of sickness I thought if I learned how to stitch I could sit in my chair and make some.but I haven’t got money to buy anything but had a bit fabric and some old embroidery yarn and thought I could try to see if I could make and learn a bit. And I loved it. I am totally overwhelmed by the inner peace it gives me and with my ADHD I really needs it. I thought you should know how much it means to my and helps me. A HUGE thanks from the other side of the world 🙏❤️ Tina 🪡🧵🧶🪢
Thank you for sharing your process! What a lovely garden and page. Love the colors, the various textures, techniques and bird! Looking forward to your further embellishment!
Wow Sarah! I love your flower garden! I just might have to take off my existing flowers and use ideas from you and Rachel - I’m really ‘bla’ on the ones I used. Thank you so much for the awesome ideas! Xo
So fun & vibrant! Thanks again for identifying every thread, bead & sequin. It’s a fabulous little garden & it’s nice to see you trying new things also! Have a great week, can hardly wait to see what you do next!
Hi Sarah! Your fancy flowers are so pretty. All the little touches make it extra special! These sequins were supper tiny but had a great impact! Thanks so much for sharing 😊
Thanks for showing us all the different ways to embellish the flowers. Love the clusters of seed beads and the French knot to anchor the sequins. Really enjoying this series thank you both. Xx
Your page is really lovely! I greatly appreciate being able to watch you work and do the stitches. I really love your concept of "Painting with thread" and have used it on both my pages. 😊💜 I can see it's time I mastered the Bullion stich. 🙄🤦🏼♀️😂
Lovely! I'm so glad you showed how to make those fabric leaves from circles and how you used the circles of felt to make flowers! Also it is great to see how to use the ribbon as well! Lots of great ideas and things I can try! I'm learning so much in this project! Thanks for sharing!
Fun video Sarah, love how you made the pretty flower garden & using different embellishments, I will have to try that ,sometimes I feel like I don’t use enough embellishments 😊
I love the flower garden! I had to sit and look at my composition for several days, and several different ways, before i still changed it and took a single stitch. I’m loving it, though! Genius with your circles that you sewed into a flower!
Sass as I have said to Rach, I have learnt so much from this project. I was able to buy myself some different thread as well as some Stef Francis, so I am excited for March. I love your block!🥀
What fun! I loved how you repeated the colors from your yo yos down into your bottom flower garden, whether intentionally, or not. The silk ribbon thread was a great idea for adding texture to the flowers. Thank you so much for sharing!
thank you for showing how you do the flowers, I have been waiting for this, now it makes sense. I was going to order some silk ribbon from stef francis, but wasnt sure on what width was best - could I ask what width your ribbon is please? xx
I like all your bullion stitches. I need to practice sewing some. They scare me. Lol. 😀 I’m so afraid I won’t do them the right way, so I don’t do any. 😊
Hi Sarah, just wondering, where do you keep all of your goodies? You seem like a very organised person. I live in a small space without much storage. Thought you might have some tips. I hate having to pull everything out each time. Anyway, just a thought, if you have any storage tips 😊
Hi Vic, I spam semi organized with my stuff. I have lots of containers and tins and try to keep everything in a particular space. I still have some work to do to get it all sorted out 😁
what needle did you use to fit through those tiny seed beads? I only have some very flimsy "bead needles" that I don't think will go through the fabric.
Darling garden!
All the different flowers go well with the bird.
Beautiful. Some lovely methods for us all to try. Thank you Sarah. 💙😊Absolutely LOVE this

Was excited for weds. What size needle do you use for ribbon flowers
I am not sure which needle I used. I just use whichever needle I think will work best

Sorry about my slow reply- I am so behind. I use silk ribbons that are 3mm and sometimes 5mm

I use bead needles- clover brand and my thin silk which isn’t too hard to thread 😁
