Every class I've taken has hammered in the fact that people will not answer truthfully if they doubt they will be completely anonymous. If it doesn’t come up until the actual date, I think a more appropriate response is to finish out the date, split the cheque and then politely say something to the effect of “thanks, it was nice spending time with you, but I don’t think we’re compatible”. Joanne Sgrignoli, while I don't agree with Krishna, it is understood that surveys are a bad way to receive data in statistics. Every class I've taken has hammered in the fact that people will not answer truthfully if they doubt they will be completely anonymous. Similar to "give a man a mask, and he'll show you who he really is" mentality.
So it is possible the number is higher, and from personal experience I have met more girls my age who have no regard for having a good time at dinner, and instead just sit on their phones and ignore me till after the bill is coming, then leave and never talk to me again. But I do know plenty of girls I've really enjoyed going on dates on, that in most cases offer to pay for their halfs, to which I usually decline as I initiated the date in most cases.
I think it's important to understand that some people lie when it's in their best interest, and that on the other side of the coin, not 100% of people are manipulative.
