If you know me, you know I love patterns. I profit more often than not from predictable patterns.** Dip buying, morning panics on recent supernovas, shorting the first red day on recent pump and dumps, and buying the first green day - these are some of my favorite patterns.
But how do you actually find these patterns?
My most comprehensive guide is called "How to Make Millions." It’s 35 hours long, discusses my favorite patterns, and so much more.
It all comes down to these patterns. Even though these are my favorite patterns, I'm always looking for new patterns. Even if I don't actually trade a stock, I'm always forming a thesis.
So how do you actually find new patterns?
Think of yourself as a scientist. You're researching all of this data and forming a thesis. Even if you find one great pattern that works, that’s no reason to stop looking for other patterns. The key is adapting. And ideally, you’ll have two or three go-to patterns.
I’ve adapted my strategy many times over the years.
And as I adapt, I test with a small amount of money. That's essential. Even if you have a pattern that makes a lot of money, always test.
Either paper trade it or trade it with a small position - see how you do. The StockstoTrade software has a paper trading feature so you can trade stocks without risking real money. It’s a great way to practice and test different strategies and patterns. You want to form a thesis and watch for the pattern to occur again.
Also, keep meticulous records of your research. Always focus on how you can improve. What can you learn?
And you don’t have to trade big or buy a thousand shares. Learn to modulate your position size. Test different patterns. Maybe you don't like reverse splits or you want to get into short selling.
That’s today’s lesson: Think like a scientist. Learn patterns, always adapt, and never surrender. Never be content with just one pattern.

Still pretty new, and i don't think I have traded enough to be able to tell what i like, but I'm learning to trade Gap and crap reversals, a strategy i got from one of your students Roland. I also like this strategy i picked up from another one of your student Steven Dux, called the Mid-Day Perk Pattern, also another play i like is the Recent Reverse Split Pump and Dump, i just like these plays because, well at least to me they offer the greatest risk/reward. Although i don't really have allot of experience trading them.

Timothy Sykes it’s very organized. Charting scanners news sec filings. The only thing it doesn’t have access to otc data, level 2 and ratings
i have STT trail, but don't have time to use it. the market begins at 9:30, close at 4:00 something, those are my working hours. i was wondering why i never get the list of % gainers and daily highs. probably i will stop it after trail

It’s very good to have your favorites patterns- I like buy on first Green Day- , supernovas, also I like to monitor the choppy patterns without get involved, Just to learn. It’s not an exact science, but you should be a scientist who is looking to adopt new patterns and recognize the stock actions behind the rumors and the news. Thanks for your efforts. So far I am still learning but I like first green days and breakouts above 52 week high . I have read your book An American Hedge Fund and I am now working on The Complete Penny Stock Course. So far they are both very informative interesting books and I highly recommend them to anyone just getting started in their trading journey.

I'm too new in my trading to say that I prefer one pattern over any other. I'm using paper trades to test out what the data tells me I'm good at.

Danny Garcia if you have to ask that question on a RUclips comment section you need to keep from trading altogether. You have to educate yourself, due Diligence, study, find things out for yourself. 90% of the market is finding things out for yourself
Dylan Bennett I have actually been profitable, I have raised my account up 10% in 3 weeks I’ve lost some and won some but learned to cut my losses quickly and been trying to buy the rumor and sell the hype of the stock once it’s raised but it’s hard to find those stocks that go from .50 to $6 within a few hours

Reverse splits can rip with "good news" ACB/CHK are great recent examples.

which patterns and new things have you traded?
I’m trying the cup and handle off of Earnings winners. Learning to control my emotions and cutting losses. I have a really bad case of FOMO but getting better. Took a step back from trading my very small account and I’m currently watching your trader checklist videos right now since I’ve been losing money to get a solid handle on things before I invest any more of my money. I am truly grateful for your constant uploads and motivation. It’s been a SLOOOOOWWWW but steady grind.

how has your back been lately?
Yes, I want to be profitable! Have lost a little bit of money so far, but have had three green days in a row trading a new strategy with small positions (100-200 shares only): $20, $25 and $105 net profit respectively... The pattern I’ve been trading is Shorting the morning peak on stocks worth $15-$30. Seems to work for me... I might look to go long on $3-$30 stocks in the first half-hour of the day, then focus mainly on shorting morning peaks after 10am EST... Going to continue to use small positions and focus on “trading like a sniper”!
Yes! Profits always great, couple my long term stocks are reversed split..suck situations.

I want to make money! I want to have a better life, not necessarily a millionaire but if that happens, so be it, but not my main goal. I have tried investing and the ROI takes forever and dividends take forever to add up into any kind of meaningful retirement fund. I turned 50 back in Dec 2019. Really started looking at trading/investing in a retirement mindset. I have a pension waiting for me when I retire but that's 15-20 years away. After many failed attempts at energizing my retirement, I came across your videos. Sold! So, I got your 30 bootcamp. And your trader checklist, volatility. Love it! I am willing to be patient, as I have a full time 7-4 job and the wife is currently unemployed due to CV19. So trying to balance knowledge/training and education acct with the "gotta put food on the table acct" . Also, trying to balance time from 7-4 job with part time trading! TOUGH! Anyway, sorry for the ramble, but really enjoy your videos which inspire so many! Thanks and keep on keeping on!
