Whilst sharpening both end and side is ideal sharpening just the end can be beneficial, especially if just surfacing or plunging. To see the method for end and side, go to www'homews.co.uk/page224.html and click on “End Mill, End and Side”. This will take you to a video that shows you the methods for sharpening both faces.
