I came to you tube just to see if someone had made a video of their road trip to Alaska in an RV. Didn’t know I was gonna spend 1:14:38 watching a video. I kept finding myself more interested as the minutes rolled and watched it to the very end without finding any boring sections. You guys are super cool! I’m subscribing!
When you are 71 years of age and not in a position to go from Florida to Alaska like you both have done Fin and Tim then you just cannot realize perhaps how much fun it has been for me to do what you have been doing; I had soooo much fun as I have felt as though I have been traveling along with the two of you through all your adventures, laughs and tears but mostly laughs:) Fin you are so so funny and so fun to watch and laugh with and Tim you and Fin are just perfect together. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to view America along with you vicariously. I am going to share this 4 part series along with your other videos that were part of this trip with others who can't leave their homes due to being either shut-ins, disabled, or without the funds or means or the youthfulness or 'courage' (lol) to do what you both have done. Tim you scared me so much when you walked on those narrow paths by the cliffs more than once and I could so related to Fin screaming and crying (come back Tim..come back...) because I have been there here in Montana a few times and it was while we were in our Chevy S10 pickup and I was on the passenger side as my husband skirted the edge of cliffs twice and I was sure we would be in a rollover (and since I have done that once already myself in my car in 2003 and broke several bones I really don't want to go through that again especially now at his age:( But now I feel satisfied that though I cannot go through the country as you did I still feel as though I have and I can watch these videos again. I have enjoyed some of the ads actually and have bought things I have seen advertised while watching your journey and am grateful that the ads did not take up toooo much of your air time or it would have spoiled everything for me. You both are great and it was fun meeting your families who are great and fun people too....I thought the 'bear aware' shirts by Tim's Dad were clever and helped wrap up the show and were too funny......I cannot express how much I have come to love you guys and I am going to miss you Fin and Tim sooo much but it is fun to know that I can see you again on video and I look forward to watching your other adventures. Fin you are the greatest and I hope you both will become 'household names' before too long as you both deserve it; what a great job you both have done with filming and sharing your joy with the rest of the world. I just know our Father in Heaven is smiling and laughing and at times crying along with you:) (((hugs to both of you))...I sure would love to meet you some day. Here's from central Montana, Lewistown....Elizabeth
Congratulations - I don't think I've enjoyed any travel video on RUclips as much as this one. Really well shot, great editing, funny, and informative. Loved it. And it brought back so many memories - I traveled Alaska 7 years ago (I'm from the UK) and although I started after flying int to Anchorage, I followed almost the exact same experiences you did - Destruction Bay, Whitehorse, the Yukon up via Dawson City and back along the Top Of The World Highway (trust me, you wouldn't have wanted to take that RV along some of that route!), Anchorage, Valdez, Seward, bear watching (Lake Clark), glacier walking in Denali, driving a 14-dog sled team across a glacier at Aleyeska, and a trip up the Dalton to Deadhorse - stayed (indoors!) overnight in Coldfoot and in those very same rooms in Deadhorse (and went for a dip in the Arctic Ocean - we had to be driven there and escorted by an armed oilfield security officer, in case of bears - you can't reach the sea unless on an official tour.). The most amazing adventure of my life - you video brings it all back vividly - thanks so much for capturing it all so well! (PS - that 20-30 miles of "not U.S. and not Canada" between the border posts - aside from it being some of the worst road in North America - what's that all about??)
OMG you two are incredible! Love your personalities, humor, sense of adventure and video editing and music and all of it! Tim! You are a BEAST on that motorcycle ride to Dead horse! Thanks for taking me along with you, so I don’t have to go!
Nicely done. I fell asleep watching youtube last night and when I woke up, your video was playing. It was interesting so I kept watching. Glad to see you all made it back safely. Tim, you were flirting with disaster on the motorcycle trip. I'm from Southeast Alaska and we always made sure we had the right food and gear even for a day trip. You're living the life. That's great to see that it can actually happen. Enjoy your youth while you have it. Stay safe.
Wow, I watched your Mexico trip video, and now this ...I'm hooked! I love watching pepper get the zoomies she's the highlight of ur show, lol! So glad your sharing your experiences with all of us. 👍🐩💗
I'm from Alaska and have done this drive 5 times and will be doing it for a 6th in a few months. Its definitely a bumpy ride during some parts, but the scenery, wilderness, and nice places to stop and take a break make it a really nice drive overall. Oh and like other people, LOVE your attitudes! Great for traveling! I lived on a cruise ship for 3 months for study abroad during college and definitely learned that having good attitude is key for traveling. Happy travels!
A note on the Dalton highway - a lot of rental companies do not permit driving on that highway or will charge A LOT more to drive there. Also rental car insurance expense will typically be higher if part of your itinerary includes the Dalton highway or the top of the world highway. Found this out when working as a local tourism agent for 2 years.
Came just for The Office reference in the title! Your videos are refreshing as most other travel videos don't have quick cuts or varying shots. You two keep it interesting and fun. Looking forward to watching more :)
The wife and I are from Michigan, we drove up the entire Dalton Highway like you. We slept in our truck at the top of Atigun Pass in the Brooks Range on the way up and Goblers Knob on the way back. What a trip, we will be retiring soon and want to do it again. We drove 10,600 miles total in 28 days, trip of a lifetime.
This is the 1st video of you I watched and it is hilarious! I love your sense of humor. "OMG is this an Ipad" lol... This is so awesome, you guys Rock! Fun after fun! So many good references. "Keywest in a parka" lol
@@timandfin I am prepping for my expedition across North America and trying to find good information about a bit of everything there is to see and do. I came across your channel today and I have to say, you two are the funniest RV RUclipsrs I have seen, great job! I also really like that you make longer videos, way more information and a lot more entertaining than the 5-10 minutes everybody else is doing. Nothing wrong with a 10 minutes video... Love the documentary style, informative format and especially the humor!
Thank you for what you do....Its easy for us to watch you forgetting the work you guys put into its production. Seriously thank you for doing what you do...You provide this world traveler( who's now disabled) a much more bearable life...
My wife and I lived in Fairbanks for 3/years back in 2011. We rented an RV ONE SUMMER back in 2012. I could have told you how bad the roads were going north. We did a loop that summer From Fairbanks heading East and South to Valdez over to Anchorage then North to Talkeekna through Mt McKinley and North through the North Pole and into Fairbanks. Great adventure and lots of fun. P
After current pandemic of Coronavirus continue my fist visit to be SRI LANKA the paradise island. love your videos.Nice one Tim & Fin.Thank you for your as always great video, keep going, waiting for new places and new travels. Best of luck
Looking st some of your old videos. We drove the Alaskan Highway in the 70's. 1500 miles of gravel in my father's Ford LTD. Quite an adventure. June. Phenomenal rain. Big sections of the road washed out. Stuck at Laird Hot Springs for days. But oh so beautiful.
How I am spending my Spring Break in PHX, Arizona (oh the memories, right?)? Watching your phenomenal adventures in an RV across the country, with both your wit, charm (beauty Fin...beauty), and awesome narrating of things I would love to do out of the elementary school classroom (yes, a hidden dream is to RV wherever the road would take me). This Alaskan bit, by far, is at the top of the my bucket list. This confirms it, hands down! I'm loving you both and will be getting your backpack soon for hiking here on the AZ trails. Peace out, you bear aware peeps!
absolutely love these videos, and especially seeing them all compiled into one! you two really inspire me to make the best out of what you can and to enjoy the world outside of your little bubble. my family just camps in our rv locally (western washington state) and someday i hope to get to be as well traveled as you!
I loved this sooo much!My dad and I are planning to go to Alaska from Alabama sometime next year. Yalls video really has helped me figure out where to go and what to see while there. Can't wait to go see those bears! Thanks alot.
When I was in the wilds of BC, we all had loud whistles around our necks. Bears don't like those loud whistles either. Incredible video. I never made it to Alaska, so videos are the closest way I've got to see it. Thanks, enjoyed it.
I sat here on a rainy Sunday morning and watched you guys for the first time and felt like i was watching one of my family’s vacation videos. I really enjoyed it. Stay safe out there you guys are a fun couple. God bless your travels
The in between area for several miles between the US and Canadian border at Beaver Creek is hilariously no man's land. You two captured my thoughts the first time I drove it.
Awesome video! Definitely on the bucket list. I’ve always wanted to visit Alaska just bought an RV this weekend thinking someday I’ll definitely have to make this trip!
We took our family of 4 to Katmai National Park/Brooks Falls based on your Alaska video. Amazing experience! You are right....leaving that fenced picnic area to enter the bears natural habitat was a sobering moment. A bear literally rolled down a hill right in front of us on the walk to the viewing platform. Since you've posted your video, there is a new foot bridge in the park so visitors don't have to wait to cross. Thanks for all the tips! Love the videos.
Thank you for sharing your adventure to Alaska......it is extremely beautiful ..... So lucky 💓 All the best for the journey from Auckland New Zealand 🇳🇿
Wow another epic adventure I just finished watching , this time in Alaska . You could not have asked for more. The scenery , kayaking , halibut fishing , the bears . Not to mention the dangerous bike ride through nowhere . Alaska was well worth traveling , keep up the good work !
My wife and I did a 3 week road trip to Alaska from Calgary in September. We had 3 street clear days in Denali. Like you guys, we also ran into KYD downtown skagway and I had no idea what to say, lol.
I've just come across your channel and I'm loving the videos. We just moved from Tampa, Fl to Kodiak, Ak September 2020....we did it in a 20 Ft Haul with a dog sitting in the middle the whole trip. Your video of the border crossings, Deadhorse, etc....all SPOT ON!! Our border crossing guard was stuck on the fact that we came from Florida and didn't have any guns with us. They tore that UHaul looking at everything!
We went in 2016 without a dog, going back this year with Molly. She is 3 years old, actually our great granddaughter’s dog, a Shih-Tzu Bichon cross. Rotten to the core. We want to see some places we didn’t see last time. I was stationed in Alaska and drove the Alcan home, 1100 miles all gravel. If you drive just go slow. That way you get to see more road licker’s (in the winter the roads are salted)

You missed Dawson City???? What??? You have no idea what you missed..... the largest historical town in Canada! You will have to make another trip North, but make sure you get to Dawson City this time. ;-)
I laughed when you said the ride was good to Whitehorse. I am sure you were quite surprised at how terrible it was at destruction bay :) literally the worst road i have driven in my life six times :) lake kulane is my favorite part of the trip
I drove up to Alaska in June, it was $3.56 for diesel. When we came back in July, a new carbon tax went into effect in the Yukon and it was suddenly $4.20/gal.

I think they had the same alaskla custom agent I had. Mine was a little angry too but took it out on the mosquitoes with his electric bug swatter.

We take being bear aware so seriously. Seeing a 1000 lbs sleepy bear on the trail makes you remember- “hey, these are real things that exist!”🤪

I drove up to Alaska in June, it was $3.56 for diesel. When we came back in July, a new carbon tax went into effect in the Yukon and it was suddenly $4.20/gal.
yikes!
What about the diverse topography of Russia? It's the largest country on the planet. It stretches from Europe to a few miles from Alaska.
