Mountain-top Temple in Thailand

This week whilst traveling in Surat Thani สุราษฎร์ธานี province of southern Thailand we decided to take a trip to a temple just outside of the city we had not visited before. The temple, or stupa, is called Phra That Si Surat พระธาตุศรีสุราษฎร์, and is located on the peak of the mountain Khao Tha Phet เขาท่าเพชร.
The area is a protected national park or urban jungle and is easily accessible from the city, having said that the approach road is extremely steep so maybe take a taxi if you are not an experienced driver.
