I’m so honored to be on this show. It’s a real Blessing to be recognized as the (Creator of Horrorcore)& share some of my life’s story’s with the homie(DH)shoutout to J-Prince & Scarface & the Geto Boys....Awwwready
Back in the early 90's, Nip wouldn't let me pass his grandmother's house (walking down the street) without making me battle rap against him. Had to sit in my room and write consistently cause I knew that I would have to see him everyday. Then one day he connected me with Dope E and Egypt E (The Terrorist)....and the Game Boys were born. - "GameBoy Weester Wee"
A cop slap my momma so i had to get mean they found his head in his car they found his leg behind Walgreens..this man influenced 3-6 mafia along with the whole horrorcore scene
Houston rap was in a class all of its own. I remember South Park Psycho, I had the CD and listened to it constantly. I remember my brother telling me how he was walking down the street listening to Gangsta NIP and he realised he wasn't walking he was stomping all the way down the street lol. It was raw. I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I'm almost 52 years old and I still listen to tracks from that album.
1992, Madrid, Spain. I ordered the "South Park Psycho" album and "Psychic thoughts" at a local shop called "Dj Records". That was a great birthday gift. I do not know how we were able to get local stuff from Houston, but we did. Thanks for entertaining us for so long. Best music in the 90´s coming from Houston and the SPC. Thanks for the interview, Donnie. Some crazy guys over here love that early Houston sound. I would love to hear Klondike Kat and 20-2-life. Too bad they retired...
@@donnie_houston By the way, K-rino has his own radio program and interviews a lot of legends, but... few people have interviewed him. I would love to have him in your program. He is my favorite rapper from the SPC. Just a thought!

There were a ton of other questions to ask NIP. I have plenty. I was hoping to hear a Pimp C story, as Pimp C name dropped NIP two times on two different songs.
Waaaay back in ‘91-‘93 I was attending college on a partial football scholarship. A few freshmen recruits were from Houston. One day, I caught one of them dudes sayin’ “…breed a pit bull with a dead shark”, or some shit. I was like, “What tha hell did you just say!!??”. I asked him what/where/who tha hell he got that from, and he said Gangsta NIP, for whom I had never heard of. He further described what NIP was about and referenced “…bad scenes of a child being tossed through a window pane” as an example of his style. I was like, “Oooh, I got’s’ta get this shit!” I ended up getting both of his cassettes, up that point, and recall listening to “Chuckie”, by the Geto Boys, and saying to myself, “That’s NIP behind them lyrics!”. Willie D and ‘Face were ill, but they weren’t writin’ shit like “…nine hundred missiles blow a little girl’s back off”!! I already liked shit like Ice-T’s “Pulse of the Rhyme”, but NIP took that dark-gangster rhyme style to a whooollle-nother level!
I always run in to nip on the southwest he's good people he always got something good to say real shit I remember him telling me don't let the devil get to me no bullshit
