Extreme E is a radical new racing series which will see eSUVs compete in the most remote corners of the planet that have been impacted by climate change.
As the first sport built out of concern for the climate crisis, the series’ goal is to use electric racing to highlight remote environments under threat of climate change issues, and to encourage us all to take positive action to protect our planet’s future.

This is - without a doubt - the best racing there is out there in my opinion. A mix of Baja, rallycross, and Formula E. Just awesome.

Massive congratulations and thank you to Extreme E for taking on feedback and learning lessons from previous rounds and turning this Arctic XPrix into one of the best motorsport events of the season. Well done everyone!
This is some of the most intense and entertaining racing I've ever seen. Love the variety of drivers, the racing format (5 car final is epic!) and the focus on sustainability, which is perfectly balanced with the rest of the content. Drivers are so committed, which makes for genuinely jaw-dropping moments (honorable mentions: Sarrazins rock garden run, Taylors roll in the quali, Loebs overtake...)!
On my wish list for future races:
- More behind-the-scene in the pits, especially glimpses of mechanics fixing cars between heats
- Radio between team and driver like in F1 so we're in the loop when something happens and get a feeling for the intensity of the race
- Even more races :D
The side by side racing is the best part.
Too bad they don’t post the full race videos.

That jump was crazy! So awesome to see. I love how this format encourages risks for max rewards. Didn't pay off in this case, but the us fans win either way :D
That auto shutdown should be disable for the next race. This is not road car this is rally car with jump and hard impact.
Why not use the team as the responsible to shutdown the car when it crash and give the driver swicth button to turn off the car.

Amazing course! Amazing drivers, commentators, vehicles, and action! Love that the course means there is lots of room for taking risks for great reward. Definitely makes things exciting!

Got to build these cars stronger. Feel like every time they do something dramatic, the car breaks. Be it a big jump, rough terrain - whatever it is, the car shutting down or steering breaking is the result. Really on board for this series and like the corrections they've made to the format (e.g. 5-car final), but tougher equipment is a must to encourage even more spectacular racing. Asking a lot given the forces involved, but if this is to be the pinnacle of off-road racing, the tech advancements needs to happen.
at some point you make the cars tough enough and spines will be breaking in their seats when the car lands, I rather think we're approaching that point

This Artic X Prix was AMAZING, but they have to take a look at the random shutdowns before the next race tho
Looks like the car has fundamental issues. Battery heating up, balance issues, fragile, etc.. have to wait for 2nd gen at least
@@ArpanMukhopadhyay93 yeah you could tell it's a first gen car, racing was good but I feel sorry for the teams that got unlucky with the issues
@@ArpanMukhopadhyay93 agreed. Seems to also need more resilient suspension and better impact resistance. Pretty much anytime they do anything "highlight worthy" the cars shut-off or break in some way, which puts a damper on whatever amazing feat was performed.
Extreme E didn't get the recognition it deserves. Can't wait for the next season.
How did X44 get within a couple of tenths of Acciona, on the track, at the end of the Finals Race? Can we have a video with that visual?

Glad you enjoyed it! The cars have done so little mileage so far, it's a bit like a public testing session. But we will get there and it WILL be epic!
wanted to say the same, still seems to be in the prototype stage.
Shark fins along the side to help with the mid air twist issue and changing the mud flaps as they help to lift the back in mid air , Multidimensional aerodynamics -- normal wind tunnels wont cut it

Honestly, I don't think the cars are so fragile like many are saying, I just think the engineers didn't expect the drivers abusing the cars so violently XD It's like they put some amateur sim-racers in the real cars for the first time haha
Yes and no... the shutdown issue needs - and will - be fixed. But in our opinion, the jeopardy of Stephane Sarrazin sending it across the rock garden and not knowing if the car would hold up was exactly how this extreme series should be!

@@NitroNuggetTV yes. I agree. Seems like the new generation is trying to start over what we already have done. Recreat. Dosen't seem like the drivers in this video have much experience and looks more like someone's first time on a go kart track the way they are smiling and laughing. Still a neat race though. New technology and maybe away to get people into it. Yet... everything seems exaggerated.

I was thinking this. I would love to see the difference in reliability compared to a baja race or something. It’s still early days though for this series but it is annoying to watch

@@martydevito8850 but anything can be made stronger to suit. They made them so light that they are faster and can run longer but it’s no good if every race something goes wrong.
I mean its the first iteration of a platform. There will always be teething issues.

Thats the point of the series. To showcase areas that are being affected by climate change and show people that climate change is a VERY REAL problem.

This is like rallycross without any of the excitement
its somehow feels tame even though it has rougher terrain to tackle and overly enthusiastic commentators trying to hard to make it feel intense. Cant help but constantly think this would be better with screaming exhausts, sequential boxes and actual track proximities. Its like watching a video game currently.

Why don’t you put the 2 hours (or however long) uncut for the final like you do for the other sessions? Not gonna bother watching anymore since it’s just a waste of 4 hours just to end up not watching the final properly.
