I was at my friends house during this outbreak, we were hiding the basement as a tornado was headed our way, but last second it veered off and just missed our town. I’m so thankful that we didn’t end up like those photos.

Just looking at all the damage on tv is overwhelming
I helped a friend once who worked for the fire department chase a tornado once. Good thing to. There was 5 tornadoes in the group and save many live ahead of them. Its the storm chasers who accually save live. If it were not for storm chasers more people would die for these storms.

The same happoned with Nebraska I believe in a few different years. We do the same as well.
see the same every torrnadic outbreak - reporters who know little or nothing, 150 mph would NOT do that damage - an F5 would! Wind speed is much greater than a hurricane over a much narrower path.

I watched this unfold after work on RUclips channel Ryan Hall Y'all. Came in just after the Nursing home in Arkansas was hit & rpts were coming in about it. Brett Adair, Reed Timmer, and all the other storm chasers were providing visuals while Ryan was forecasting and warning people in the path for over 11 hrs. Those in the chat who knew people in danger were calling and posting info on Twitter, etc. When this monster Quad State Tornado arrived at Mayfield, there was a really helpless feeling for the nearly 20K people who watched & prayed that efforts made had saved at least some lives. We watched in shock & horror as pics started coming in. My heart sunk & I cried just like many others in the live stream chat. The full 11+ hrs of coverage is still on RUclips. I didn't see the full picture of damage until the next day.
As a native South Texan, the devastation reminded me of Port Aransas, Ingleside, Rockport areas after Hurricane Harvey hit here in 2017. My sincere condolences go out to all those who've been affected by this horrible situation in that entire region. RIP all those who've lost their lives during and after these tornados. Prayers for their families & friends. My heart breaks for you. May God help you all as you rebuild.

How do the chasers communicate to law enforcement or other officials to warn those in tornados path?

Seems like since we are able to figure out how they form and get bad, we should be able to have something to stop it.
Can't stop mother nature she will always find a way for the best or worst she will do what she needs to do
I'm just an "armchair expert" but I always felt it's like a recipe, we know all the ingredients but not how it all goes together. Not all super cells form tornadoes, they're so hard to predict. Even if we did there's no force could stop it.
Lol. I doubt we have the ability to stop mass warm air from meeting mass cool air.
I keeping hearing what an excellent job everyone did with regards to warning and coverage. The candle factory did everything right. I believe they saved lives by keeping employees there versus letting them leave.

@@brenne8030 They can and do manipulate the weather. See news reports on weather manipulation in Dubai reported by CNN. China does it too to control rain. Electricity frequencies similar to radio can be used along with chemicals and they very likely use other methods. America used weather manipulation in the Gulf war and as far back as the Vietnam War but different methods were used. As far as "climate change" is concerned there have been far deadlier storms very long ago. 305 deaths - May 27, 1896 - St. Louis-East St. Louis tornado: Rounding off a deadly two-week storm period, 305 people are killed by tornadoes in Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky. There are multiple examples of FAR worse tornadoes going back decades. Ask these climate "experts" what caused THOSE? This is only one example of many extreme weather events from very long ago.

Really pinning down why is it that a given scenario produces a tornado, I think, is a question we’re still sort of trying to wrap our heads around.

Mother Nature absolutely has the power to do something like this... Especially considering climate change. If you are suggesting that this is geoengineering, just find proof first before making such strong claims... But this almost certainly was just a once in a lifetime severe weather event that was exacerbated by climate change. Well, I say once in a lifetime, but things like this will get exponentially more frequent if we don't stop the warming of our planet

"A trained professional"? At chasing tornadoes? I didn't know that chasing tornadoes was a Profession that people actually get taught.. 🤔.. guess down in America everything goes..
Yes, they risk their lives to gather scientific data to better understand these storms and are usually the ones who get the footage you see on the news. These people are usually the eyes-on-the-ground who confirm touchdown and warn people by calling the authorities to report what they see so alerts can be given to citizens to take cover. Radar can only do so much. They`re also trained to save the lives of the injured and are often the first on the scene when a tornado destroys a home or neighborhood and the first to report it to 911.

Yes it actually is. If you didn't have a good idea where the tornado were to form or what general direction it would be going once you starting chasing a tornado, you'd probably never see a tornado or end up killed by one

For several months. That particular system moved on ..to where.. To the Midwest.. Which then was stalled for another unusual period of time.
Weathermen reported nothing significant transpiring. Not true.
Then..drone visuals of the aftermath move to a waters edge. Where the tornado moved to cove
And obliterating the ends of the earth right there.
Where did it disapear to..there was no flooding water literally at that point. This would not
Be appearing as organically certain.
