- The 40 minute barrier has finally been broken!
A new World Record by 30 seconds, with Ultimate PCS shortcut saving three whole minutes in Pirates Cove. This run also features Battlements EDJ, first try Docks EDJs and a good Shipyards SSJ. There was no need to try for SuperSwim as well, because I had so much spare time.
I play at a disadvantage because I cannot do RTG storage on my PC, so RTG has a large element of luck even with a deathless Tiger Island, and sadly I did not get lucky with RTG on this run. With RTG, this could have been a sub 39, since I lost 44 seconds here. In fact it could even have been a sub 38 without even needing SuperSwim, and could have been sub 37 with SuperSwim, so sub 40 is definitely not the end of this category.
This will likely be my last any% run for a long time, since next I plan to get a sub-44 in the No DJs any% category.

@Snip I remember the first time I almost beat it, ended up killing Omar but then fell in the lava when jumping back to get the gem. XD Took me a few years to get over that and try again.

i used to play this game a lot as kid back in the 2000's, when my father got our family's first pc,
i've never been able to pass the game beyond level 9 or so kekw,
i still list the game as 1st my favorite game ever..
Looing back at this game, it was great how distinct the levels were, both the enemies and design. In that regard, Tiger Island sitcks out so much, repeated enemis, assests from forest an docks, it's the one level that feels wrong to me

Personally I like lvl 13 most... and lvl 14 the least... maybe its because of the gold earned? I like to go for perfect runs... and lvl 13 has the most amount of gold and 14 the least amount...😊

If I remember correctly, on V1.0 dynamite damage was 30 points, not 15. That would make these speedruns way harder.
