Idk, the whole mood of the drawing with the blue lighting and his kind of blank stare somehow emits just a deep feeling of hopelessness that immediately hit home with me. I don't know if that's what she was going for but it just made me feel so lost. It's incredible what art can make you feel. Amazing job Karina, I'm still kind of stunned.
I literally just commented almost the exact same thing but you've managed to put into words what I felt even better than I did. She makes beautiful art and I'm glad I'm not alone in my enjoyment.
I literally gasped in delight when Nathan said he drew Kaiba in worthi’s style. This is the first time I have ever gasped in delight, and honestly it was my first unexpected joy in years. Thanks for bringing that to the table, Drawfee crew, with especially big props to Nathan (and worthi)
The man's wrist couldn't take it anymore. He had to stop. He has a few people working for him now so we should be getting some at some point soon! But for now I guess we can just rewatch the movies and both animes, and cry under coffee tables because of /that/ scene in the third movie. (We know the one)
I thought it said “Kaiba *was* a demon slayer”, and I believed it, I was prepared to believe there was some bit of yugioh I never delved into where our favorite rich scaley was also a demon slayer.
Gotta say, Kaiba's emotional trauma's are more from his horrible combination of foster-system upbringing and psychopathic adopted father's abused and demanding upbringing than by anything to do with Yugi. The worst parts of Kaiba are pretty manufactured, either by circumstance and necessity or by another's designs. That said? He'd absolutely fits in with the Demon Slayer folks. Hell, change his father from "corporate mega-mogul" to "hyper competent samurai" before he defeats him, and overtakes the company/dojo and changes it? You've pretty much got it. "Blue-eyes White-Dragon breathing" even sounds pretty in-universe. HOLY SHIT. Miura? Julia, your ambition is the stuff of legends.
Nathan and Jacob make impossibly clean and appealing pieces effortlessly while Julia and Karina make incredibly detailed pieces with unyielding dedication and I don't know which is more admirable.
"Kaiba", but only because you asked so nicely. First ever suggestion X30: Invent a Pokemon Evolution Line Nathan draws the baby form. Jacob draws the second stage evolution. Karina draws the third stage evolution. And Julia draws a Mega-evolution/Gigantamax form. You could all play nice and plan ahead...OR...throw a twist at each stage. Julia picks the type(s) for Nathan. Nathan picks the Ability for Jacob. Jacob describes the "signature move" for Karina. And Karina makes Julia struggle by saying "So this, but MORE." (What if, but long?)
Nue Challenge: "Yes and" challenge. Either make a single drawing (can be a scene, character, whatever), and after a certain amount of time, switch who's drawing, but they have to continue drawing the thing. OR Make it like the random photoshop challenge, where you describe/narrate a story or a character/scene and whenever someone makes a new suggestion, you have to add it in.
Suggestion: Each person draws something in their wheelhouse! For example: Julia draws a background, Nathan draws an animal, Jacob draws a lil bean person, and Karina draws a hot person.
"I'm here to make people feel things about Kaiba." Oh, that's me but with my friend's original characters from their story that they still need to write 😭
When Julia said the artist she chose was Kentaro Miura I shouted YES, to myself, alone in my apartment. Loved everyone's Kaibas. Please draw gundam stuff someday.
Prompt: design a character that could be the child of two gods or goddesses from two different pantheons (I would kinda like to see a speed draw of this because their pretty cool and the pieces are amazing! (They were amazing in this episode as well!)) Or prompt 2 - draw yourselves as mythical creatures (like kirin / qilin, or dragons or Phoenixs, or some other mythical creature)
The end displaying all their pictures looks like he's evolved. Jakobs is when Kaiba is introduced, Nathan is upgraded time skip kaiba Karina is like character crisis kaiba then finally Julia is Final Form Ultimate Kaiba
Jacob, in another ep: I'm baby Karina: Hey! Jacob: And I'm Kaiba Karina: You really just said that? Run, homeboy. Man I'm loving this enemy thing that's building up. Go Jacob. Take everything from Karina and run!
The insane part is that even with Julia’s incredible level of detail it STILL isn’t as detailed as Miura’s work. I swear it must take that dude a week per page at least.
Potential idea: draw combinations of 2+ characters played by one actor. An example would be drawing a mashup of the Aladdin Genie and Hancock because both were played by Will Smith.
Jacob: "I'm Kaiba."
Karina: "How dare you stand where he stood?"
Do we likaiba, kaibament, or subskaiba?
is this a harry potter reference :D
Its so adorable how personally offended Karina was for a moment when Jacob pretends he's Kaiba. "NO YOU'RE NOT"

Me: IS THE BAR STILL NOT HIGH ENOUGH FOR YOU? HOW MUCH MUST YOU RAISE IT BEFORE YOU'RE SATISFIED?
I guess we can just call Karina's piece "Perfect Blue Eyes White Dragon"
👏 HELL 👏 YES 👏
For some reason I imagine it being called "Lost In The Blue Eyes." or something kinda emo and heavy.
Heeeeeeeey! :D
I award you the sigh of a man who has realized he has just heard a dad joke
get this to TOP COMMENT, ASAP
I know Karina tried to keep it light-hearted but it’s very touching hearing her divulge some of her genuine feelings regarding her interests. Actually made me a bit teary.
Jacob's ink brush was "Kyle's Inkbox - Brush Beauty."
I went frame-by-frame to see what it was, cuz I'm definitely going to use it too.
+
Thank you for looking frame by frame
Bless you!
Jacob when he begins drawing: "Screw the company, I have references!"
Karina’s segment literally left me tearing up, I’m a sucker for art with subtle meanings and I’ve gotta look into that artist more
RIP to Kentaro Miura. Came back today to rewatch Julia's drawing after I heard.
Same but 1 month later
karina sounded so offended when jacob claimed to be kaiba LOL
God Nathan's drawing starts off so powerful so quickly.
Ian Worthington: * Goes to end of video
Drawfee: "We're Kaiba!" "We're Kaiba." "Kaiba"
Ian: "... Ok cool... But uh, where's my apology...?"
i’m glad someone else noticed!
They weren’t sorry this time. 0 regrets.
Kaiba never apologizes
"Screw the [apology] I have money!"
When for his next animation he does the Drawfee crew in his style they will be sorry
Yugi: *Plays Exodia The Forbidden One*
Kaiba: "I knew you were gonna do this from the moment I got out of bed today. Typical Yugi, I'm not surprised"
“I will get you for this Yugi!”
he's taking sucker shots at Kaiba's blue eyes banana cage
@@cassualtea2040 You wanna take sucker shots at my banana cage Joey?
"I knew you were gonna pull some horse piss like this Yugi!"
"Oh you *would* pull some horseshit like this."
"Just skip to the end where we apologize"
"We're Kaiba"
nathan saying "are ya winning son" had me on the floor oh my god
Karinas drawing actually made me cry.
I actually cried too. Beautiful
The ending shot really just looks like Kaiba's school photos year after year.
LOL YES
Ah.
This 1 frame took 7 and a half hours.
Well, that explains why I've been waiting for a new Berserk volume since 2018.
The man's wrist couldn't take it anymore. He had to stop.
He has a few people working for him now so we should be getting some at some point soon! But for now I guess we can just rewatch the movies and both animes, and cry under coffee tables because of /that/ scene in the third movie. (We know the one)
RIP

Suggestion from HalCG:
Please draw evolutionary lines for Julia’s “Pokémon”
Thanks for the help!
Boost *
Oh PLEASE do this i absolutely *need* to see spheal evolved.
OMG PLEASE
yes please if only I could upvote more
I thought it said “Kaiba *was* a demon slayer”, and I believed it, I was prepared to believe there was some bit of yugioh I never delved into where our favorite rich scaley was also a demon slayer.
Nathan’s Worthikids-style Kaiba just makes me so dang happy 😂
That art style is really unsettling to me.
Just when I think Julia has peaked, she goes even further.
I love Karina, she goes from her adult Karina voice to her "I'm baby" voice effortlessly.
#bottemtext
The better switch is "baby" to jealousy/murderous hatred.
"Kaiba", but only because you asked so nicely.
First ever suggestion X30: Invent a Pokemon Evolution Line
Nathan draws the baby form.
OR
Make it like the random photoshop challenge, where you describe/narrate a story or a character/scene and whenever someone makes a new suggestion, you have to add it in.
you just discribed drawfee XD they always talk jokes about the drawing the the one drawing just adds that in
I love how this is a progression of Kaiba becoming less cartoony and more "realistic"
Karina: I'm here to make people feel things about Kaiba
Me, who already feels a lot of things about Kaiba: God yes, please make me sad
+
that's my secret, I'm always feeling things about Kaiba
That's a strong mood that's so insanely relatable.
Suggestion: Each person draws something in their wheelhouse! For example: Julia draws a background, Nathan draws an animal, Jacob draws a lil bean person, and Karina draws a hot person.
And then mash it up into one illustration. :p
Yess that would be so good! I just commented something similar, it's what the people want!
"hot demon man" - temmie
Oh no, Karina took over the show's patreon discord.
"I'm here to make people feel things about Kaiba."
Oh, that's me but with my friend's original characters from their story that they still need to write 😭
SAME
Karina's piece has so much heart. You can very much tell how much it meant to her to do this piece; it's quite emotional.
Julia: ” This artist is me to an exaggerated degree “
So, just Julia in 1 or two years
I appreciate that you chose to type 1 as a number and two written out
@@ellaluepann6373 They are just matching Julia's creed of always changing it up. Cannot be out done and all that.
I don't think Julia has ever not flexed in one of these.
I don’t think Julia has ever not flexed *.*
She’s some kinda god I can’t understand her
I love that Julia pushes herself so much for each piece. Like she ALWAYS goes above and beyond. It's seriously impressive
mentions Ian Worthington right off the bat.
me: _slams hands on the table_ *YES*
We are as kin :')
Ah yes, the countries - America, Europe, and Belgium
The triad
The three genders
I'm glad someone else had that exact thought and wondered why nobody razzed Jacob for it
sometimes trumpets kill me fr
The silence after that was too much😆
11:06 the tiny whispered "big sleeves" was everything
how did you hear that?
“The shadow realm is a concept invented by Egyptians”
“What”
"I don't even know how to play the game"
"DRAW. A. CARD."
"Nonono I know what to do"
Suggestion:
Drawfee draws their Donald Duck-Sonas.
Or themselves in the Donald Duck/ Mickey Mouse Universe.
Did you mean Duck Tales-Sonas?
This is so good! The new ducktales is awesome and it would be amazing to see them in that style!
Like goofsonas? Those have been really popular lately
@@edwinadunn1433 yeah something like that
Ducksonas!
When Julia said the artist she chose was Kentaro Miura I shouted YES, to myself, alone in my apartment. Loved everyone's Kaibas. Please draw gundam stuff someday.
They’re just making Karina more powerful, she’ll be unstoppable soon
(I ain’t complaining)
Karina is slowly turning Drawfee into a yugioh and digimon fanart channel and I 100% approve.
And when she’s done the earth will be a yugioh fan art channel
Hearing Karina swoon at every progression was hysterically adorable
Prompt: design a character that could be the child of two gods or goddesses from two different pantheons (I would kinda like to see a speed draw of this because their pretty cool and the pieces are amazing! (They were amazing in this episode as well!)) Or prompt 2 - draw yourselves as mythical creatures (like kirin / qilin, or dragons or Phoenixs, or some other mythical creature)
Julia's Kaiba looks like he's gonna join Griffith, then dump him cause he don't need to support, and take over the Golden Age arc by himself.
I read this before watching and didn't understand at all
he'll sacrifice griffith to become god hands himself
I was expecting Julia to just end up drawing Kiba’s top floor office of Kiba Corp or a room full of Kiba with different moods.
The end displaying all their pictures looks like he's evolved. Jakobs is when Kaiba is introduced, Nathan is upgraded time skip kaiba Karina is like character crisis kaiba then finally Julia is Final Form Ultimate Kaiba
Jacob: I'm Kaiba
Karina: HOW DARE YOU STAND WHERE HE STOOD
Me: *goes to bed*
Julia: *starts a project*
Me: *wakes up 8 hours later*
Julia: *finished the project*
Julia: still working on the background
Jacob, in another ep: I'm baby
Karina: Hey!
Jacob: And I'm Kaiba
Karina: You really just said that? Run, homeboy.
Man I'm loving this enemy thing that's building up. Go Jacob. Take everything from Karina and run!
Karina is awesome and belongs in Drawfee and we love her.
The coat spikes are for fighting off other males during the mating season. They're venomous. ...Oh, wait, am I confusing Kaiba with a platypus?
No
no youre right, but i might add that the coat erects if a Kaiba feels threatened
day one of asking karina to draw kaiba as a platypus 😂
@@Steph-zo5zk Works for me!
You're not confusing anything
As soon as Julia said she was emulating Berserk’s manga art I audibly said “oh god”
Jesus Christ Julia. Should be the title of her art book
"they both have blue eyes" that is a true statement in every possible way
The insane part is that even with Julia’s incredible level of detail it STILL isn’t as detailed as Miura’s work. I swear it must take that dude a week per page at least.
I mean, there's a reason why we get new chapters so infrequently

Suggestion: Draw your "cereal mascot"-sonas. Would look nicest on cereal boxes.
Potential idea: draw combinations of 2+ characters played by one actor.
An example would be drawing a mashup of the Aladdin Genie and Hancock because both were played by Will Smith.
I like this idea

Really makes me appreciate the amount of work that goes in a single panel of berserk, let alone the emotional "Guts looks at the sky" scenes
