Glad to see that this technology is being made available to the public. This could be a game changer for people that don't know what they want or the capabilities of their suspension. Suspension mapping is going to be a thing, just like engine mapping has in recent years. Now, when are we going to see semi-active suspension for dirt bikes?

Thank you for the feedback Jon, we're glad you like the Motoklik system.
Regarding your question on semi-active suspension, we suppose it depends on what's meant by "semi-active". The two types that come to mind are automated adjustment of the bypass i.e. clicker adjustment, or on the fly control of the valve damping.
There are certainly challenges for the on the fly damping control given the high speeds of dirt bike suspension movement (we have seen 10 meters per second on our system, where in road bikes you see a max of around 1.5m/s - 2m/s), and then the need for an AI system that can make decisions on what level of adjustment to make for all of the different terrains that a dirt bike is exposed to, and then the additional cost of manufacturing that type of suspension to get a return on the R&D needed for it.
We are working all the time to gather data from the different track conditions we come across so we can help with the development of active systems, but for now we're trying to keep the costs down and give riders the information they need to make an informed decision on the set-up, while at the same time being able to offer support to riders through the online dashboard.

@@Motoklik My question about semi-active suspension was more directed at the moto industry as a whole and not Motokik specifically. That being said, the Fox live valve system is being used in 4-wheel off-road racing. If they can figure out to use it on a 1000HP, 140MPH, Trophy Truck across similar terrain, I'm sure that it isn't a big jump to 2-wheels. They are also using this technology on their MTB suspension. KYB has a system that is being used on snow machines. I feel it isn't a matter of if, but when this transition takes place for dirt bikes and who is the first to do it.

Really interesting idea. I'd be curious to try it personally. Just a note is the talking was pretty quiet then suddenly when switching to the riding clips the bike is very loud. From and editing point that could use a bit of fine tuning but good video besides that.

Thank you Trevor and the team at Dirt Bike Test for taking the time to meet with us at Glen Helen. For any viewer that would like to learn more, there is loads of information on our website www.motoklik.com, or you can message us on Instagram and Facebook, and we're happy to answer any questions you may have.
Regarding the issue that Trevor had on the day of this test, it affected the rear magnet holder for Yamaha models only, and we have corrected it. Here is a short clip of how we fixed the problem: ruclips.net/user/shortsG5MZErXiyKM?feature=share
