I have always loved watching bird's, but my appreciation of them has grown exponentially since following Jackie and shadow these past two years. What amazing creatures they are!❤

@@yiannimil1 for the last 2 seasons the eggs did not successfully hatched. And last season it was so sorrowful to watch Jackie incubating an egg for almost 2 months even though it had already passed the hatchling days.

@@maryb6672 the 2nd egg was laid 3 days after the 1st. So its about time for the 2nd to hatch I guess.

Oh Jackie & Shadow, you make a beautiful baby!!! I feel like I want to reach in to help them. It's like the fish is just a tad too frozen to break off easy enough for her to feed the little one. Was anyone else kind of doing that 'hold your breath and reach' kind of thing like me? LOL

The cutest little thing, ever! First time watching an old video of J and S. What a feat to feed such a little beak using such a big beak and in just the right bite sized amounts while taking into consideration that baby might be getting cold, so don’t take too long! ♥️

This is very encouraging! As long as s\he keeps eating we’re on the right track to seeing this chick develop. S\he looks strong and feisty which boosts those odds tremendously IMO. The chick has very attentive parents and this also helps. Reminds me of Simba and I look forward to those tantrums soon! 🦅🦅 Did I say Chick? EAGLE!!!
Haha, the tantrums! I was thinking of that myself, watching this. Last chick I watched was Stormy; hilarious how, right before fledging, he would bum rush poor Jackie when she would return to the nest with food. Stormy would knock her right over!

I'm pretty sure this little will be fine. The mom and dad are both protecting this little for sure. Shadow just wants to be a dad so I'm sure she will hopefully letting him. So cute its going to have another real soon. Good luck keep up the good work.

The eaglet is only few hours old and so vigorous already, mom is wice and mix some saliva with the fish , easier to take, and then Jackie needs to warm little one..

I understand it’s only the 2nd feeding but it doesn’t look like the little one got much fish and all that saliva coming from Jackie. I’ve never seen that with the Southwest Florida nest, no saliva from Harriet or M15, so just wondering is that normal and is this her 1st time at mothering?
