Im at 124 hours in the game struggling to beat hah atm, im only 6 achievements away from 100 percenting the game lol, i want to get all of them so bad.
Actually, there's an easier way to defeat them and you can use any character. When fighting the furies you notice with one of there attacks, their arm blade glows red for a split second. When that happens use any attack that's quick and his attack will bounce off of your attack then you could go for the kill. It's like The Marauder from Doom, but you're using quick attacks instead of strong attacks
Countering is reactive though, you're letting Fury dictate the pace of the encounter. Not so bad one on one but it he's acting as support for other heavies you'll want to focus him quickly
for dante you can also use attacks like the mega cascade, that actively hit furies before they get to attack(and also cover good part of the arena) or welter move(balrog's boxing dodge) followed by divine dragon, the dodge differs from the parry in a way that the fury wont be sent back, every weapon got a way to somewhat exploit a fury, i mean, time it right and you are putting shotgun shells on it's skull before hitting you nero I use more the devil buster and the transformation to send them airbone or during the actual animation, since it's a bit long I use it's invencibility frames or at least evitate getting the devil buster canceled
2:40 wanna add something here, using DT percussion at blank range will stun fury instantly, the problem with the move is when you using DSD in the loadout, it will have following summoned swords attacks that can cause fury to escape, because the 4 summoned swords thingy. To fix that, when you do DT percussion, immediately switch style to any except swordmaster, me personally is RG or GS because increased defense or the interceptor. Great video!! And stay stylish
Or you can start Percussion first before activating DT if it is not on beforehand. If DT transformation occurs during the middle of an action, the summoned swords will stay idle until that action finishes or the next hit of that action lands, depending on specific skills.
what i did for vergil is i just spammed the trick teleport button and whenever it reappears it auto shoots a sword at the fury and makes you it, for dante i would just use the ice flurry skill when its about to teleport and it usually parries it

Rinse repeat Vergil: use beowulf foward spinning attack to parry, then Yamato void slash to stun V exists
This is handy for those who cant royal guard, parry or dodge his attacks well If you practice As vergil, stinger with mirage edge can work well as a parrying tool as long as it isnt the taunt, teleport belly stab pattern
Blitz is way easier than furies. You have way more overpowered stuff in DMC4 or you can just JC royal guard to bring their shield down abd DRI for insta kill.

I am not sure what you mean by that. There is a Vergil section in this video. But generally speaking, besides spamming Void Slash, the other strategies using Vergil against Fury are things like: Using Beowulf's Lunar Phase spin attack to parry attacks. SDT activation's explosion to stun incoming furies out of their attacks. Lunar Phase has a low chance to miss though, and if you miss it will hurt the concentration gauge, so generally I recommend SDT explosion, which is also mentioned in my beginner's guide video.
If you're asking about practicality, the buster arm devil breaker deals greater damage than buster using the devil bringer. The breakage attack of the Buster arm deals the highest damage Nero possesses, being able to kill off most non-boss enemies even on DMD. On higher difficulties most people that brings the Buster Arm generally use it on a tough enemy that they don't want to fight normally.
If you struggle with Queens I would guess that you haven't been careful in your positioning. While the queen has high damage capabilities, if you attack her from a distance or on top of her head with enemy step, it would be a fair bit safer. Tactics changes with different characters. For Nero, I would advice using hit and run tactics (Ex-Calibur them enemy step to jump away), or one roulette spin before leaving, and using Charged shots. When you notice her flinch you can go in for a Buster. For Dante, I recommend practicing enemy step Balrog punching. After around a dozen ~20 punches you would daze her and create a 10 second window to do high damaging skills like Real Impact safely. V is invincible doing side dodges, that's pretty much all you need, and Vergil can just double jump and JC in the air till dead.
With Dante, I was using trickster at first and it was pretty fun chasing around and dodging, but very little effective. Then I remembered the saying "the unstoppable force meets an immovable object" so I started using Royal guard against that fast bastard and it works perfectly if you time it right.
I've already platinumed this game and there are plenty of things here I never knew, I'll go for the plat again eventually thank you!

i was never able to use buster on any fury before, this is neat
You can just spam mirage edge on furies as Vergil and they will get stunned allowing you to obliterate them with whatever you want
Those strategies are shown for Devil Hunter. One might need to get in a few extra hits on higher difficulties.
Also the beam from the two rocket launchers combined can kill a fury instantly if enough of the beam hits to stun it
Dantes last royal guard skill makes them super easy
You just auto counter them and get 4 hits in than the same again and dead
You can also stun with 1 DT percussion
Fury is probably the most fun enemy in the game if you know how to deal with him.
Blitz on the other hand...
main’d dante on dmc4 and destroyed every enemy in that game. toyed with the fire dogs too. *then the blitz came along and took me to 1hp*

Why do people still use the buster arm
If you're asking about practicality, the buster arm devil breaker deals greater damage than buster using the devil bringer.
The breakage attack of the Buster arm deals the highest damage Nero possesses, being able to kill off most non-boss enemies even on DMD. On higher difficulties most people that brings the Buster Arm generally use it on a tough enemy that they don't want to fight normally.
The only reason I consider this game a 9.9/10 is because of the fury and nobodies, maybe also sin scissors.
