Ever noticed spirit is ALWAYS eating? He did say he was always hungry in the spirit world. Maybe he takes every chance he can get to catch a bite while he's in the physical world.
As a Native American this is awesome finally some recognition of acting skills by a great cast. Knife straight up reminds me of my uncle he'll actually talk about stuff like that and it'll make sense but it's always in the weirdest places lol 🤣 hence the porta potty idea I love it
I think the funniest part about it is that a lot of people outside the rez do end up having major revelations in a porta potty, except they're doing it tripping balls at a music festival. Make sure to eat high fiber, by the way, taking a dump on LSD feels like your whole body is telling you about your bowel movement in explicit detail. It's like that Grateful Dead song about enlightenment sometimes finding you in the strangest places.
I lost my brother 11 years ago in Afghanistan. He was my best friend and spirits words hit me too and they are true. Go thru the grieving process cause you need it and keep it pushing its what our loved ones would want
I read an article about season 3 being the last one, & he said he has ideas for spinoffs of some of the characters. Hopefully it will be him! That would be so cool, seeing him going around helping different people & being hilarious.
I had forgotten that the "Sign of the Cross", that the Catholics use is also the "Sign of the Eagle" in some Nation's culture. Has a similar meaning in the idea of carrying prayers to Spirit. I had not forgotten about many Nation's cultures highly valuing intellectual and Spiritual discussion, but I hadn't thought about doing it while pooping. A really good point, why are we, the People of Now, so ashamed of sharing natural biological functions. Could be because there's a lot of money to be made on shame!
I just lost someone that was like a mother to me exactly a week ago. It's been a rough week with grieving and the insomnia it brought along. But today I decide to try and get respite and not forget to live, because I know she wouldn't want me to drown in the sorrow. Anyway, I was just browsing videos of this show because I heard it was good and wanted to see clips before diving in completely. But I never thought that in the middle of chuckling, that advise on grief would show up. Maybe it's stupid, but I believe in signs and this was a strong one for me that I did the right thing for today.
I got my hair cut, I’m getting a tattoo, and cry everyday for my 26 year old who left this world. I’ve had things made, not a t shirt though. I appreciate this scene.
Wait, did he just describe the opening to Conan the barbarian? "Taken by slave traders and I had to push a big log around and got all buff. Then I had to fight in a gladiator pit....
I lost my best friend from cancer a year ago and this scene was a punch in the gut the loss of a best friend is a heartbreaking pain but the memories are what brings me happiness
Awww why was this part taken out on Hulu for?? It was there just yesterday and today I rewatched the episode and it was gone smh. That was such a great little life lesson and saying for bear well for everyone really. To let your loved ones who’s passed that it’s ok for them to go. We will miss them but we will be ok without them. So good. Made me tear up.
1:34 and I was asked the question, what is best in life? And I answered, To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. In that good way like that in that traditional way. Aho.
Don't you just hate it when you're trying to have a quiet moment in the bathroom and your spirit guide starts chatting away in the next stall 🙄
I'm in love with this show. As a whitey it still has great comedy and educational purposes
what you mean NEXT stall, fuckers come in pointing and struttin!
As long as he's not setting next to me looking me eye to eye I really think it would be hilarious😆👌🍻
you my friend have just given me my first laugh of the day and I thank you !
That’s the only place my spirit guide comes to me.😊
"Just get out there and learn, fucker."
*drops an absolute block into the bowl* 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love how the spirit’s origin story is mostly a synopsis of Conan the Barbarían. 😅
Im glad I wasn't the only one that caught that.
What is best in life?
Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women!!!!
I just went and watched that scene
@@joeystylezleaks then you are now a wiser and stronger man, AHO!

I'm not Native American but I still love this show. It's frickin hilarious. Especially Spirit.
I wish I were that lucky ,native ancestry on all family trees but no way I'd be that lucky he's great lol

Goldtooth nails it! ... Dude transitions in a heartbeat from goosebump hair-on-end emotion to hilarity. Man, if this guy's not Emmy material, what is?
There needs to be more native comedians like Dallas Goldtooth
Spirit has got to be the best character on TV ever.
I just discovered him and love the character. Funny but still giving powerful advice
I don't watch a lot of TV but for sure Dallas Goldtooth is a great talent.
I lost my best friend to suicide when we were 21. This scene really helped my perspective on it all. RIP
RIP
يسلم راسك
Sorry for your loss
I wouldn’t necessarily say I had it harder than you, but truth be told….. I had it harder than you 😂
Every preceding generation....lol
At 2:18 of this really hit me. I just lost a friend this past Sunday, and hearing Spirit's take on the mourning process puts so much in perspective.
Agreed. I too have a tattoo in Old English of my late son's name. Hearing him say that almost made me laugh out loud.
Yeah, that junk sucks
I lost my brother 11 years ago in Afghanistan. He was my best friend and spirits words hit me too and they are true. Go thru the grieving process cause you need it and keep it pushing its what our loved ones would want
That's a very insightful perspective on mourning and death. Love this show.
2:34 “This is my auntie right here.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"You gotta sing it right, Lile youre cryin' for da people"
Sending “Traditional pedagogy of ‘just get out there and learn, fucker’ “ to some teacher friends haha
my friends mexican dad says stuff like this so instead of spirits voice it was a stereotypical hispanic accent lol
Give that man his own show!
I read an article about season 3 being the last one, & he said he has ideas for spinoffs of some of the characters. Hopefully it will be him! That would be so cool, seeing him going around helping different people & being hilarious.
He says it so on point about losing people and how we deal with it.

I didn’t know about the eagle thing, I can’t find anything about it on the web. Is there anywhere you could point me so I could learn more?

My deepest condolences and comfort for your loss.😔
Myself as well. Tattoos and cuts and crying.
So Spirit had some of the life experiences as John Milius's Conan The Barbarian? Love it!!
Oh my god that was, wasn’t it?!?!
He’s too young to understand, I caught that the moment he said it, but we natives loved that movie.
Was wondering who else caught that!!!
I'm liking this show!!
There's something about natives and Conan....
@@savedbychrist3985 Dang, that movie transcends people, places and all that. Love that film too.
Dallas Goldtooth is a legend.
I loved the nod to the 1491s RUclips channel in the port a potty and all the other graffiti.

Never thought I'd hear Seminole being said in tv show or movie. He called him 'chiban'! lol

The apple eating is driving me insane 😂
I'm not sure which one is nuttier; him eating the apple or referencing conan :P
He's usually always eating something when he appears on screen....in the first ep he said he was always hungry in the Spirit Realm.
Him eating WHILE pooping!
Real comfy lol taking a dump
LMAO - and as always, he's dropping some serious wisdom in between the laughs!
Dropping some serious doogie as well in between the wisdom
I know he was being funny and all but his message hit me harder than semi truck. I should probably watch this show now.
so gonna use that . . . ghost dogs calling 🐕

lol such a great cast and show so funny
Noooo...don't eat!! That apple looked good, but would taste much better in a different setting! LOL
I lived on a very old dairy farm that had a three holer outhouse. We had indoor plumbing but the three holer was for backup. lol.
I love that they put some 1491s graffiti in the porto too!
I’m a very pale English woman from the UK and I honestly thing Native American Indian men are so absolutely beautiful. ❤ (faints)
The Spirit's story of having to push lumber and getting jacked. I think that's Conan the Barbarian
He’s eating an apple! 😂😂😂
I wish William knifeman would come and chill with me and give me wisdom and guidance.
Did knifeman really say his life was like Conan the barbarian?
I love this show!!!
By far the best show on tv right now.
