This is a very underrated car. I feel it is the best sub compact sedan that was in the market. With 110 bhp and 250 NM torque paired with a 7 speed DSG is a driver's delight. Sad that its stopped by VW.
I'll miss the Ameo because
Ameo comfortline diesel costs 44k less than Polo Comfortline diesel.
And yet Ameo(110hp) is more powerful than Polo(90hp). And had a bigger boot + Stability + the comfort.
Pretty sure it weights more than polo.
But the rear space to ingress inside an Ameo is < that of polo

Purchased manual TDI comfortline in Jan2020.. Delivery next day, took for 1500 km round trip.. it's a real beast on road.. can feel 250 Nm torque during overtakes.. just pull u like train.. It's drivers car..
VW may not nailed it in design but drive and bulid quality are just fab as always ❤️

Because then people will stop buying the manual GT.
The prices will increase to a lakh may be which will make it even more pricey. Very less/none would opt for a hatch costing 12.5 lakh.

I’m getting 20+ kmpl from my vento 1.5tdi dsg on highways .. 67k kms in 4 years.. mostly highway runs.. the car is butter smooth .. I’m happy I bought the diesel before it was discontinued

India lost a gem of a vehicle when VW discontinued the Ameo. Its 1.5 TDI version alongwith the DSG was pure fun to drive.
Bro u can also use sony rx0 mark ii camera instead of gopro....it has a big 1inch sensor but size is almost similar and depth of field is also very good.....quality will be much better than gopro....thanks😊....btw excellent vlog as usual

Mine is a mapped tdi dsg. Trust me this is the fastest diesel in its segment and the segment above once you map it. Currently making 115 hp on the wheels and 250nm on the wheels.

i own a VW Ameo infact the same Blue Connect model love all the aspects of this car the only downside is that the steering is extremely hard and stiff.
Head lamp on the Highway is a disaster, can you suggest some replacement Projector HD Lights

I own a diesel DSG taken in 2018 and still in 2024 at 250 NM torque and 110 bhp ( power to weight ratio is what you should look )it still is more powerful and stable car than many 20+ lakh Rs cars of current generation
Its so smooth , stable at high speeds and Makhan gear shifts
I get around 20-21 kmpl on highways even with me driving at constant 120-140
And in city it’s 12 kmpl
Hope to keep this car for forever even if I buy maybe a ev in future ❤

I have also vw ameo. Last sunday when i was driving my ameo on hilly area then car engine stopped . I turn my key for starting the car but key is rotating 360°. I tried many time but key is rotating 360° but car not started and break and steering not working. What reason plz tell me sir

Heard the rumor that this car will be out of production soon. Not sure. Wish polo gt tdi had a dsg option too.
I too tried to book.. None is available in Ka and TN except test drive vehicles.. Seems DSG will be available only in high budject vehicles not in Ameo/Vento. Also ameo to Say bye bye in India It seems. Im very disappointed with this news.. Not able to book Ameo DSL AT.
@@murugeshtp1 heard the rumor that DSG too won't be available in polo seiers after bs6 comes they going to be replaced by torque converter. Even though bit unreliable DSG was lots of fun.
Your Review is awesome, I own this model and the way you were driving, I was feeling like I am driving. Have achieved 21.66 KMPL on high way on AC, but city mileage is disappointing.
100% City - 14 km/l
100% Highway - 19 km/l (hard foot 120+)
100% Highway - 25km/l (light foot 90-100)
It's very difficult to keep this hungry beast under 100.. it will tempt u push hard and hard..

So sad that there wont be such a competent gearbox and VW is discontinuing this gearbox post BS6 implementation. Vw is shifting to Torque converters. India does not deserve awesome gearboxes like this, instead crappy AMT's and rubbery CVT'S. Wish VW could have offered more peace of mind to allay those reliability fears during it's existence in terms of more warranty and easy replacement options..
Proud to be a owner of VW AMEO ... But i don't know why people have an issue with VW or Ameo.. I also own a Dzire... but i didn't feel any kind of difference in service or spare... Yaa I know the cost is bit on higher side..but if you compare with service interval... the approx cost of ownership is similar. Actually...Most Indians still follow the mentality of...KITNA DETI HAI...🤣🤣
