I have been driving Figo Diesel for 5 years now (2016) - and it is the best purchase I have made in my life! It's a driver's car - delivers power when you need it as well as serves as a good cruiser on the highways. Ford's steering is really a BENCHMARK and every car should just follow the same. Hyundai, Kia as well as Tata have not been able to provide the steering feel and handling that this car gives.
People who want an easy car to drive, pls go for Hyundai - this is a driver's car and its not for you!
There is one BIG problem with the Figo. If you want to upgrade, you are gonna have to spend a LOT of money, because most cars in the segment above it dont even come close to its performance. I did a test drive of Harrier just today, and was heartboken to feel the torque steer whenever I tried to accelerate.

No hatchback comes close to Ford Figo diesel in terms of power and speed !!! I own a Ford Figo Diesel top variant and the performance is mind boggling !!! Baleno I20 sports skoda VW does not stand a chance in front of this beast.

The Figo actually drives and accelerates better than the heavier Ecosport which should not be a surprise as it is a quarter tonne lighter.
Saw this video before buying, saw this video on the day of purchase and continue seeing it every time I take it out for a spin!
Ford service is cheap and good. Engine is very reliable.. most underrated brand.

I have a 2011 1.5L Turbo diesel ford Figo and it puts a big smile every time it goes above 1500rpm. The tyres Screeching is soo long that everyone around starts staring at you. that is the reason ford cars fell like family member. its so unfortunate that ford left india.

I think I20,baleno,polo and jazz are different segment cars which are called as premium hatchbacks above 10.5lakh cars... Figo belongs to swift, i10grand, micra, tata bolt which are mid range hatchbacks segment cars...

Things going for this car - cute looks, strong diesel, top notch safety package, good build and materials quality and fit and finish.
Three things that made me disappointed,
1. Unavailability of rear door pockets ( how can they miss this? )
2. Better music system, like the fantastic Harman systems in new gen Tatas.
Seriously, how hard is it for a car maker to pair up with a audio equipment manufacturer? It doesn't have to be ultra premium brand like benz's burmester or something. There are several other good brands that they can reach out to, like JBL, Arkamys, Harman etc
3. Was anxiously waiting for Ford to introduce the fantastic SYNC3 system, disappointed to say the least.
How hard is it to fit a aftermarket music system 😂

Stereo quality in a car is also a function of its sound and vibration insulation throughout the body, including doors, etc. Having a fancy audio brand is useless without it. Kind of like how every crappy laptop tweeter is ''dolby digital' blah blah
@@NidalRashid Are you implying that the Tatas and the Hyundai's of now have bad insulation levels? If so, you are sorely mistaken, my friend. The difference in audio quality is obvious between the Figo and the i20/Verna/Tiago/Nexon.
As you might already know the fact that south of 10-15 lacs, no car maker comes close to Hyundai when it comes to fit and finish and refinement levels. The audio department and the case of rear door pockets, both are a miss in the Figo, no matter how you try to look at it.

@@ausfile111 figo TDCI already beat Polo 1.6 GT TDI in a drag race. Check the video of kkc on motive. Both of them closely matched in outright acceleration. Volkswagen however has advantage on in gear acceleration.

Can you suggest something that matches it? I am looking for my second car now. Either a Sedan, SUV or powerful hatch that has the same dynamics of a Punto (below 15 lakhs). Your suggestion needed please.
The only think that can come close to punto's hydraulic unit is figo's then vw/skoda's ... Others no match
