It's a small thing, but I appreciate anyone attempting to improve their craft over time. There are people who have been making videos for years and still fill a lot of time with umms, uhs, likes, etc. Just don't be so hard on yourself. 😅
Loved your outro about LA and the analogy you used. We're disabled my hubby and I but we definitely are the purse for people around us less fortunate and the local wildlife which we feed when the weather is harsh. Glad you are ok and hope your friends will get back on their feet soon.
Glad that you're safe and ok! Very sorry that some of your close ones weren't so lucky. 🙁 I hope they will recover and can rebuild quickly, sending much love from Canada
Your ability to remember the mechanics of so many games is truly amazing. I look forward to your videos each month to help guide my buying decisions. Thanks, Grant.
Keep doing you brother! Your energy and excitement are why we’re here 🤙 Also: I need to know where you get all of your glasses frames. I’m a teacher and I think my kids would love me switching up the glasses.
Thanks so much! I love games! I use a couple of online places for glasses - zenni and zeelool. It makes it a lot more affordable to get multiple prescription glasses. I think your students would enjoy it!
There's a few games there I'll want to keep an eye out for (why haven't I bought SETI yet?) but the one that caught my attention was Sigil. It was supposed to be in my hands through Kickstarter last summer and it's still not here. Don't worry, Grant. I know that's not on you, I'm just ranting. But I'll definitely be a bit upset if it shows up at my FLGS first. Thanks for the monthly updates, stay safe. Sheesh, deadly fires in winter. What's it like in LA when it gets hot?
The Sigil folks told me early in the month that they were fulfilling to backers this month and then releasing to retail right after, so I hope you get it soon! Sorry it's been so long waiting.
@GrantLyon lol, I got the tracking info on my package this morning when I woke up. They've actually been really good about updates. It's just been nerve wracking with my first foray into Kickstarter. I should be relaxing by the end of the week. And my FLGS called today that my copy of Dune: Bloodlines is available so it's a great day for gaming. (what day isn't, right?)
I had the chance to play Altay with a friend of mine and one of the reps from the company at bggcon. Enjoyed it but I felt a little bad, im a passive player by nature and i was in the middle of the two more agro players. Was still fun though :)
Star Trek Captains' chair (if it actually releases in January (doubtful)) is the only game on this list that even sounds interesting... LOL... the rest are meh filler games!
@@GrantLyon Sorry.. it has nothing to do with you or your video (that is most appreciated)... just my own opinion about the games and what I would spend my money/time on. Thx again for your content!
"I SAID 'SORT OF STUFF LIKE THAT' AGAIN!" I'm dying over here 😂 (And honestly, don't worry about it. Your videos are top notch.)
Thanks so much! I appreciate that
I feel the same. It's a part of your vernacular.

And so sorry to hear about your game group, its absolutely terrible what is happening.
Yeah it definitely seems like there's some conflict in that game. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I love that you are doing your research! I have an app I wrote you might like can tweak it for you to query the BGG APIs
It definitely takes a lot of research for these videos!
Builders of Sylvan Dale is a copy of Phtosynthesis!
Are you saying it is similar? Because it's not a reimplementation of Photosynthesis I don't believe
Apart from the fact that they both feature trees, mechanics have nothing to do with each other - check it out if you like the theme
@@AresGameschannel I´ll do, thanks
