As a American I think it really sucks that the original video’s that accompanied Sliepnir music have been removed and therefore making it harder for audiences to discern just what the songs are really about. Keep in mind that My own uncles fought in combat against the German’s. As combat soldier’s they came to understand things that are lost on those who have never had to take another’s life and contemplate how events came to that. By deleting the original video’s a injustice has been perpetrated upon the world and upon Siepnir’s God Given Right to freedom of expression that My Uncles and other’s fought and died to protect. It is a injustice to History to delete or otherwise obscure from worldview how events are viewed from other perspectives. My understanding of the German Language is very limited but I found the original videos and music very Moving. Like My relatives who served and one was killed in combat fighting the Japanese on Leyte there were close relatives of Sliepnir who survived many adversities , defeat and losses of loved ones . They obviously had a great influence on the Music and its subject matter and their stories must never be forgotten. As I write this the words of Franklin D. Roosevelt on why pictures of American Dead should be published come to mind.
