No problem and there’s a lot of them around. They like the prairie country.

I've caught a lot a gophers out here in Nevada and Arizona but I have never seen a gopher THAT BIG. The ones out here in the southwest are maybe 3/4 the size of that one. Good work. Great vid. Thanks.

So I've been trapping pocket gopher's sense the late 1960's, couple of things I do different instead of digging for the entrance hole we use a 5/16 to 3/8 rod with a 90 degree bend for a handle, and just poke around the mount quickly to find the tunnel, and dig it out quickly with a small hand garden shovel. The best traps I've found for the highest success rate are Lansboro GT 100s.....I catch 100-150 ever year and I've pretty much tried every type of leg hold death trap ever made the last 50 years, the GTs 100s flat out catch every other type trap I've ever used.

I've trapped and killed 46 gophers in the past year . . . I've never seen one as big as the gopherzilla you caught. I used to use a trap similar to the one you are using but now that we have a lawn and I don't want to make a mess bigger than the gophers, I switched to the GopherHawk trap and it works well.

I enjoyed your video very much. Do you think the trap you are using would also work on prairie dogs? I have a lot of prairie dogs, and pocket gophers. Also where would I find the type of trap you are using? Thanks

Not too sure about prairie dogs? We don’t have them in MN. You can order them from any trapping store. A good one is NW trappers supply from Minnesota. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍👍

He showed how to set the trap and then had a perfect catch in a trap. You sound like an Anti trapper. That or you have no idea what trapping is. That or maybe you're blind and can't see 🤷‍♂️

@@go2know221 It looks like you were in a hurry to get something out and not taking into consideration what the content looked like. Perhaps if you would have waited a day or two, there would have been less wind and that would have made for a much better offering. I have never seen a trap like the one you were using and I couldn't see how you were setting it, so it was a little frustrating. Do you cover the trap up after setting, or leave it open? Do you ever use bait? Sorry for the misspelling, I'll make sure that doesn't happen again.

@@kevincrosby8998 I didn’t show covering up the trap because you don’t have to but you can. I didn’t show bait because you don’t use bait. I explained the wind and that’s why I did what l did in the video. Also I showed twice setting the trap (close up). Not much else I can really do 🤷🏻‍♂️
