I'm 12 weeks and 5 days, just had my 2nd OB appointment yesterday. Really thought that when I went in I would have an ultrasound. They just asked how I was doing and did the Doppler thing to hear the heartbeat. Then they mentioned genetic testing briefly and I said yes, so they took my blood. They did such a poor job of getting my blood, they poked me 5 times in 3 different veins. By the end, my legs were shaking and I was sweating. I mean, I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks, so maybe they didn't need to do another? They never mentioned the nuchal translucency test either. I'm just kind of concerned that this particular office isn't the best place for me. I mean, even the lady at the check out desk seems bewildered every time I approach her to check out. Like it's a surprise or something? 😅🤨😕
Hi Dr. i find your videos very useful. thank you so much i'm a little confused 3 days before my period i had a little pinkish/brown discharge i.e: lasted for about 2 and a half days. now i am four days late. i don't know whats happening its my first time experiencing all this. i have taken a pregnancy test and its negative should i take another test of consult with my doctor, it will be my first pregnancy? please help
OMG.... My doctor didn't do nothing. I had my 12 week appointment. I feel in a cup. And he just listened to the heartbeat with Doppler that it. I feel cheated 🤔
My doctor recommended the sequential screening instead of the NIPT. I’m only 25, low risk. Why would that be? Wouldn’t the NIPT make more sense in my case?
I'm pregnant with my first and we did IVF and had genetic testing done on the embryos before transfer. They were found to be genetically normal. Is it still recommended to do genetic testing during pregnancy?
Hello Dr. I’ve got a question my obgyn recently told me that they couldn’t give me the Gender results nor the Genetics to see if baby has Down syndrome because supposedly Our 23 chromosomes match up too much does anyone know what this could mean? They have to run another type of test on me 😞 how disappointing I’m really worried.

same thing happened to me. Just a doppler, i heard the heartbeat and then scheduled a 16 week appointment.
Same. So decided to go to a clinic. They have great antenatal care there

Page Hayes and I got my first bike of blood drawn there. Then at 16 weeks I got it drawn again.
