    At 5:49 in video there is a large internal taper on NPT fitting. Does this have any sealing function or is it just the way it is machined internally.

    Is it possible connect a npt male 1/2 to 1/2 nptf female?

      Yes, but as indicated, you should still use a thread tape or pipe dope to seal the threads properly:

    Whether BSP or BSPT thread require sealant as NPT ?

    So yeah.....the nothing is 1inch but it's called one inch....is the source of a lot of problems.
