750MC Hot Hatch Donington 2019 Race 1 - 1 new windscreen please

- I don't think there was any gravel left in the runoff areas at Donington this weekend, most of it was used as ballistics and fired at me! (and other competitors who now need new windscreens)
We got pole quite easily as there was a lot of messing around in quali and even with it being slippy as hell, we didn't have to push overly hard.
It was nice to have full power back, especially at donny where you spend so much time at full throttle.
Not much really to say, was a fairly smooth race win wise, 2 class competitors didn't make the event.
Rumours of the class dropping from 260bhp/ton to 245bhp/ton for 2020 are abound, so its super lucky that my steel tailgate adds 15kg and I'm currently sat at 246bhp/ton and know I'm still on the pace haha!
Net result, race win and a new radiator and windshield required.

my tunnel got hot as hell to. So If done the heat wrap around the exhaust what helped but its still hot. So im going to put reflective tape on the underside of the tunnel this winter 👍🏻
Yea I think new exhaust and ceramic coat. Heat wrap I hate as its a huge fire hazard if any oils get on it. But I also need some shields.
That sound is your tire running on the bodywork. Mine sounded the same!
Turns out it was the rear tyre on arch. I've dropped rear camber by about half a deg.

Would be sick if you vlog from the start of the day to finish, like all the prep of the car heading to the events, around the pits ect
I know, several people have suggested that, and it would be nice. But it just pretty difficult to do the things I need to do whilst holding a cam. Ideally I just need someone else to film it lol.

I spend a lot of time to get the acoustics to replicate a toilet.... We all know that's where most men watch vids.
It's just crisp now, don't have to think about being in the right rpm anymore.

@@BenR22 Quick question ...importance of roll centers.. gotta road car and have been reading up on roll centers from what ive read the lower arms are wrong due to being lowered (-40mm) Is there a general rule of thumb as im looking to raise the car..will say it was 60mm lowered when i first got it and it seemed to roll around like a boat -40mm springs have reduced this any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated..

Theoretical question: If the racing gods were to pick you to drive in a bigger racing series, e.g BTCC, would you still continue vlogging while racing?
Hell yes! I'd love to upset loads of people with harsh truths, and be that guy in the paddock that isn't diplomatic lol. But despite it being quite a usp for sponsors, I'm not the clean cut, obedient type.... So that's not great for getting big money sponsors. Catch 22.
But I'm deffo going to move vlogging into historic racing with me, and radicals if I can raise the funds for next year.
But I literally can't put my finger on a series that has my full attention. I wish they still did mad cars like imsa in the 80s or group c.... Basically when cars were original, looked amazing. Now everything is one make, boring as hell, can't tell the difference, technically snoring...... Btcc cars are all the same underneath essentially.......so the awesome drivers and the not so awesome ones (see, I can be diplomatic) ones are pretty close on lap times in quali.
@@BenR22 I dunno the BTCC need some more lively characters in the paddock to spice things up a bit, I think you'd be well suited haha! Historics would be awesome, never know might be at the next Goodwood Revival! And yeah it's like TCR, all the cars just look way too similar for my liking, unlike the good ol' Volvo 850 from the '94 BTCC. I do enjoy one-make series just for the close racing, especially the Minis they ran at Thruxton back in May. But yeah most cars these days have little to no character to them, unfortunately. But whichever series to decide on in the future, we'll all be watching, I'm sure! :D

great vidoes, but i was wondering why there is such a huge gap between cars/bhp in your class?
There isn't. I'm running about 15bhp/ton below class limits at the moment. In that particular race, 2 fast guys didn't turn up. Power in itself means very little, and I've probably got the most "stock" engine out of anyway.... As it only uses factory Honda parts.
The 2 other classes are 145 and 200bhp/ton, my class is 260/tpn. Its what you do with it really....

Hi nick, I'll be doing about 3 championships next year if all goes to plan, of which no dates are released yet. But keep an eye on my Instagram page and I'll probably put a calendar up there.

Yea, felt one a while ago and it's not the step up I was hoping. Got a new one coming over winter.
Valve clearances will close up as valves stretch particularly if one missed a gear and over revs engine

No rear right outer arch lip. It runs virtually 5mm clearance if that.
