- Our roundtable interview with Supernatural's Jared Padalecki in the press room for Supernatural at Sand Diego Comic Con. The interview took place on July 21, 2013. Warning, contains spoilers for Season 9. Not the beginning though, when he see's his son Thomas and Mark Sheppard's son rolling around in the hallway. It was so adorable!

He's literally sold me on S9. I love the J's interviews. And how proud is he of Jensen doing the NerdHQ with him. Adorable.

I just watched the panel, but watching these interviews have made me even more excited for s9. I wonder what the secret is! I love twists. Jared seems really excited about it.

Carver and Jared both made comments about it at the panel, they said that season 9 opens up so many doors that they can ideally even make it to season 19. So they said that they are willing to continue Supernatural for as long as viewers want them to, exceeding season 10
Love him so much they might do a season 12 YES...

Kind of, but I think Sam tended not to choose Dean over the job. Like Jared said, he chose to go after Lilith, work with Ruby, etc. instead of work with Dean to solve those problems.

No. Sam chose Ruby in season 4 and Dean chose Benny early in season 8 when he was pissed at Sam but quickly went back on that. His loyalty to Castiel too has always been unnerving for Sam but in the end, he never chose Cas over Sam. :)
p much, but i think he means that theyre choosing to work together more? like in season 1 dean wanted to do what john said, sam wanted to go after the demon, season 3 sam wanted to break dean's deal and dean didnt, and season 5 they were constantly butting heads over whether sam would say yes or not. and now he means that in season 9 they are gonna be on the same page??? i guess.

i agree, thats hilarious that you pointed that out. but this season was different because they didn't sacrifice each other for the job, whether by legitly dying or just giving up their relationship and betraying each other. this time they really decided that they'd put each other first, and just siad screw the outcome, which i what made season 8 such a big chapter. and why im gonna stab someone if i done get to see season 9 soon. :)

Well... yes and no. For instance, Sam letting Lucifer possess him to throw them both into the Cage was an instance of them sacrificing themselves instead of getting to be with each other.
Granted, it was partially for Dean that Sam did that, and it was to respect Sam that Dean let him do it (he said he would choose for Sam not to, but would support Sam's decision), but still. If they had used that mindset in season 8, Sam would have gone through with it.

i am a huge fan and follow every word and have ideas of my own. i would love to see mike and the devil written into the story more i enjoy those characters a lot because next to DEATH and GOD they are powerful. i also like the Alpha Vampire. with all fallen Angels and who knows who else and the demons. It would seem Sam and Dean are going to need some help. The ideas are endless but reinserting all these guys would be a good idea

I think Dean destroys the tablets and that saves Sam but then there will never be another opportunity to shut heaven or hell and that's what he'll be mad about.
I hope Sam gets a major haircut in season 9. The long hair thing has run it's course. Now it just makes Jared/Sam look old.

He's so fucking attractive. I swear to God. I could oogle him all day long. As for what he said about the upcoming season I'm kind of glad that for once it's Dean not being totally honest after all the bitching he's done about Sam and Cas. I LOVE Dean so I'm not hating on him. I'm just glad that the tables have turned. I know Dean did something to save Sammy and I get that but starting off lying after the whole "Past or present" speech is kind of bad. Again I love Dean.

silence! i get what youre saying about hage, but thats kinda what the hair represents, not to get to superficial. little sammy had short hair and wanted to be normal and now all grown up sammy is sexy and getting laid and has long hair....if that makes any sense.....so i like the hair
