This is the first time I’m gonna disagree with you I think that the Beyoncé layered vocals actually added to the song because if you listen to it it’s really a song for ladies 😂 it’s meant to make us feel empowered it’s the second part of the flawless remix Nicki did with Beyoncé because Beyoncé actually gave this song to Nicki and Nicki wrote her verses. This is actually one of my favorite songs from the both of them I loved every minute of it and anytime we have a girls night this is one of those songs we play over and over Sidenote the second verse is when she went into Texas style rap if you listen to the rappers that are native to Texas especially Beyoncé section I’m speaking about they have that kind of flow and that’s the particular reason she use not only that flow but the bars she did in the second verse they all connect back to songs from Texas rappers.
That was so beautifully written. I’m so glad that we atleast have some representations atleast to make people really feel confident and good in themselves. Regardless how some people feel about celebrity and mainstream. When it’s atleast done right , you get beautiful happy people like us who can appreciate the art.
