Thank you for the upload. This is as entertaining as it is informative, especially so beginning at 24:15 as Tony Kushner explains his theory on the 'conservative thought disorder'. Enjoyed the focus on Roy Cohn in this discussion as well....thanks again.
What in gods name is the line in Glass Menagerie when Laura outs Tom? I've played Tom in GM twice.. apparently badly because I missed this. Please help!
That line is not in The Glass Menagerie but is in Williams' short story A Portrait of a Girl in Glass, upon which Williams based the play. In addition, the play is semi-autobiographical. Tom is the character representing Williams himself. What always surprises me is how many people don't realize Tom is gay. It seems so apparent to me from what Tom's character says in the play without being explicit.
extremely engaging chat, what a thrill to hear Tony talk!
These two NEED to do a post-2016 sequel; re: "Was Roy Cohn just a one-off"?

Beginning at 35:16 -- "internal coherence"
Just watch the whole interview....Dan Savage did a great job, and the audience is engaged and focused.
Bless Dan Savage for keep blabby Kushner "focused." Savage makes this discussion worthy.
Excellent writer

32:00 Ironic 'cause poodles are one the smartest breeds... The Standard Poodle are typically listened as #2, after the Border Collie

Holy shit, they had NO IDEA what was dead ahead. Innocent pre-Trump times!
