Why compare? They are both good in their "Stimmfach". Towarnicka is a lyric soprano, Carmo a mezzosoprano and more spinto. Besides, there's a digfference in recording-circumstances: this is a life recording with full orchestra and choir. Towarnicka's light high notes seem to be amplified to match the orchestra, organ and choir that are quite on te background.
