Just buy a cheap phillips screwdriver and push hard, there's many way to install screws! Investing in a drill, even a cheap one will be a good choice. You'll probably put a lot of stuff together in your life

This particular door is called a Flush Interior Hollow Core door, but if you look up Interior Door at one of your home building stores and sort it by cheapest you will probably find a lot of options

It was from a Menards Surplus Store, so it's where they sell used stuff or damaged stuff and it's usually a lot cheaper! Not every store has one but worth calling around and finding out!
This is what my father did when I was a kid and also what i did when I moved out. He used a door like yours and then glued dark speaker box carpet onto it. He then stapled the overhanging carpet underneath. He also used two bedside tables as legs. I also use a mouse-pad that is large enough for both my keyboard and mouse. It's super comfy, looks good and has heaps of arm space.

This has been my plan for a while now, i have a corner desk i could take off the corner piece and arrange my other two frames to hold the door im so hyped but my mom says it wont work or it takes too much space… too much space for a desk is never bad

You know I got these legs cheap at ikea but I've also been looking lately for more of a cheap base rather then legs. I also found that my local universities sell old file cabinets nice 2 and 3 drawers for dirt cheap like 10 bucks and put one on each side. Lots of ideas but im also still searching for some more good and cheap leg options
If you are going to use a door, just pick up a couple saw horses while you are at it. Much less chance of everything ending up on the floor when ony of those crappy legs screwed into a hollow cor door (basically cardboard) gives out.

I was gonna go buy some wood and pipe for a desk build, but this video reminded me. Two years ago I ripped the counter top off an office built in at work and sat it up against the wall to take home and never did. 2" thick MDF, with a Formica veneer, in gray marble. about 5 1/2 foot long. Its not gonna look the prettiest but save me a ton of money. Now I have a reason to look forward to going to work tomorrow.

If you do get the longer desks make sure you are careful of the desk bending, maybe add another leg in the middle of the desk near the back

I was gonna go buy some wood and pipe for a desk build, but this video reminded me. Two years ago I ripped the counter top off an office built in at work and sat it up against the wall to take home and never did. 2" thick MDF, with a Formica veneer, in gray marble. about 5 1/2 foot long. Its not gonna look the prettiest but save me a ton of money. Now I have a reason to look forward to going to work tomorrow.
Thats awesome to hear man! I think that MDF will work just fine especially with a veneer on it, good size too. You should share a picture with me when its all said and done and you've got it setup

Sorry LJay it was just some random door in a clearance rack at my local Menards. If you don't have one of those stores near you check out a Lowes, Home Depot, etc...or any other big box store in your area!

Just did this myself, got a free door on OfferUp and some IKEA Adils ($4 each leg) and the desk goes crazy
