Question for the channel: I live in Australia and the cost of living is rising. What is it like for you guys in Canada? How is society there going?

Thankfully, we live in rural Manitoba and it’s not quite as shocking as highly populated areas (like Ontario or British Columbia), but there has still been a very noticeable jump in prices at the grocery store, gas stations, entertainment (restaurants/activities etc) and housing. I was at a restaurant recently and alcoholic drinks cost $16-$23 CAD. The housing market was also wild for us: houses would sell before we even had a chance to look at them, people were putting down offers $30K over the listing price without a home inspection, 70 year old houses with stains and structural damage were being sold for $380K+… Manitoba is not the worst in Canada, but it’s definitely getting rough out there.
What’s been the one thing you’ve personally cut back on in Australia? For us it’s been restaurants!

it’s so lovely to hear from you!
I just had a look at Google maps 👀 what a lovely spot Manitoba is in!
When do you think the noticeable jump in cost of living started and do you have any idea why it started for Canada?
      That’s a crazy amount for a drink, $23!
Has housing always been that expensive and hard to get in Canada?
We have good wages in Australia and social welfare support but we also have expensive cost of living and the wages haven’t grown with the rises.
In Australia the housing market exploded recently and has consistently risen over the last 2-3 years post-COVID!
My partner and I had to move out of the city to a rural area for further study/internships in our fields, so we have been pretty privileged in a way. We have cut back on a lot because there isn’t as much to do in a small coastal town haha 😜 We hope to move closer to the city and to our friends/family when we complete our rural study in a few years… but we wish we were moving now as most houses are $1m for a first home and climbing!! 🏡

Hi I need some advice.. I saw your video on tonsillectomy...Recently an ENT doctor has suggested me Adenoid removal surgery and tonsillectomy as I have a large adenoid gland on left side that is causing me frequent infections and cold. Should I go for it? I am really scared as I have read so many people saying that their immunity has worsened, voice has changed including other side effects after adenotonsillectomy.. Can you please guide me?? I am really scared right now! Should I go for it??
