- Our 3000km walk along the length of New Zealand from Cape Reinga at the top of the North Island to Bluff at the bottom of the South Island begins. We start our journey at Cape Reinga and follow the longest beach in New Zealand (84km) to the coastal village of Ahipara.
This channel is dedicated to our walk on the 3000km Te Araroa Trail, sharing our experiences and trying to raise the funds we will need to achieve this. Any financial help through Buy me a Coffee (www.buymeacoff...) would be greatly appreciated, but even a simple video like or channel subscribe will help. Thank you and enjoy!

I've just discovered your channel - new subscriber here!
I really like your style of videography, narration and editing.
I'm a Kiwi tramping Nana and my tramping buddy and I are doing TA next summer 24-25.
I'm enjoying watching your adventures along the way, along with others.
Thanks for the inspirational content! ☺️
Hi, thanks for following! Glad you're enjoying the videos. Have an amazing time on the TA - it's a pretty amazing experience!
Thank you sharing
Thanks for watching!
Wow, what a beach walk that was, hard work for you guys, well done. Awesome #best_footage #90_mile_beach and the start to the mighty #Te_Araroa Those Camp grounds look great.
It's a treat to follow your walk. We're feeling a kind of homesickness of NZ
Yes, it was quite a challenge walking along the beach for 3 days. It’s been great to get into the Northland Forests for a change of scenery now!
Glad you’re enjoying the journey with me!
Cold showers are the best!
Yes, definitely refreshing!
Some stunning scenery!
It's getting better now I'm further down the country!
Love the video and really enjoy meeting you on the trail! Keep walking.....
Nice to meet you too - glad you liked the video!
Looking forward to part 2 !
Glad you enjoyed it - I’ve just posted part 2!
Getting off that beach must have been like stopping banging your head against a brick wall, I reckon. IMHO you have completed the most difficult part of the whole walk! Well done - such self discipline and perseverance!
Yes, you definitely summed that up pretty well - it was just endless sand! There have been a lot of long, hot days on the roads so I’m looking forward to getting down the country further.
What date did you start TA and what’s your name please? Interesting to watch NI journey😀
Hi, I started on the 29th of November - my name's Jared. Have you done the trail or are you thinking of doing it?
@@onthetrailnz I did most of SI NOBO last season. Had an injury and then bad weather so missed some.
I asked your name incase I remembered passing you😊 Finished up at Ship Cove 22 March.
Thanks for the reply ☺️
Awesome, I think I started the South Island around the 17th of February, so we would have passed somewhere along the way!
