Jürgen Habermas' paper on myth and ritual has been published in his book "Postmetaphysical Thinking II" (Polity Press, 2017), pp. 43-56.

In the mid-1980s, Habbermas was in Brazil. He then gave a long interview to the newspaper Folha de São Paulo. At the time I subscribed to the newspaper. That interview was the first contact I had with Habbermas' philosophy. A question posed to the philosopher by the Brazilian journalist was something like "Do you think philosophy can develop in Brazil?" I don't remember exactly what Habbermas replied. But his answer was something like this: "That would be possible, as long as Brazilians don't go hungry and have access to good quality education and can enjoy free time to study and reflect on human life, on the world and on the human life in the world." Since then, Brazil hasn't changed much and, paradoxically, it has changed a lot. Under Bolsonaro's command, Brazil regressed to the civilizing standards of the 17th century. Bolsonaro used the pandemic to exterminate hundreds of thousands of Brazilians, because - as the president of the Central Bank of Brazil said in mid-2020 - "reducing the mortality caused by the pandemic would harm the economy". Knowing he would lose the election, Bolsonaro attempted a coup d'état. Defeated, he promoted terrorism to try to break legality with the help of the Army. Fortunately it failed. With the election and inauguration of Lula, Brazil has shifted from the bestial past made present by Bolsonaro to a possible democratic present. Democracy in Brazil was a myth (that is, something that exists outside of time and that does not necessarily enter reality to become a historical phenomenon) and has become a new ritual (the repetition of a practice considered as desirable as it is inevitable). . The political transmutation of Brazil taking place at this very moment is fantastic and philosophical. It would hardly happen without violence in a European country. Maybe now we can start thinking about renewing the philosophy with our particular originality and Brazilian swing.

Dr. Habermas the object of social sciences is manhood, and the main cor for understanding humanity would be the correct word or to comprehend man kind. can be a common phat to study human behave on the basis of experimental search concept like once Waston and skinner tried to stablish psychology as a positive since on the first part of the last century, and the question a bout T. khun´s divergence on verhensten and xplanation.
