The sand actually WAS pink. I have tons of pictures of it as I have been to Bermuda several times. The problem is the sand (well the wildlife that makes it look Pink) has been compromised over the years due to al the sunscreen and lotion that finds its way in the water. Its actually sad how it all changed.

Yeah- my extended family lived there when I was a baby so my mom has photos of me at 9 months old and the sand looked pink in the film photos. Granted, that was over 30 years ago.
I think expectations now come from highly edited and saturated photos. I saw a post that said the photo was taken yesterday in Bermuda with basically magenta edited sand and people commenting how they couldn’t wait to see sand that color. 🫣
