Thing is, some dialogs are meaningless and awfully boring like Once Human for example. I would not skip dialogs in Final Fantasy 14 but I do skip everything in Once Human lol.
Absolutely right. What's the point in mounts if you, the protagonist, have the ability to simply morph into said mount. That said I do hope future morph are slightly better; horses, fish and other animals would be cool morphs too

Dude its crazy. I leveled to 50 over the weekend and spent sunday trying to complete a dungeon. Everyone just gave up after a wipe or 2 every time, usually 1 guy has a gamer moment then the group quits. I can see this devolving into an elitist game for sure. Im gonna play again yhis weekend hoping the f2p players are more chill and willing to learn a boss fight.
What Asmongold experienced in that dungeon on the other video is why people started gatekeeping in many mmo's this isn't just about Lost Ark. People are just tired of wasting time on dungeons/raids wiping because of players being bad at playing the game or very slow learning boss mechanics, but to be honest I have no idea why Asmongold didn't tell them stack during that one attack. It's funny tho Asmongold was already doing gatekeeping by kicking the bad players ^^ dunno why people have such a hard time adapting to boss mechanics.
For me to, in my opinion better for PVP, cause you can select players in the backrow like healers to attack or CC them.. its more tactical than spam and evade in New World.

The game is really good. Most importantly, it's fun. With that being said the p2w doesn't even let you win.. it just gets you to gear score cap faster.. not that it matters in large-scale pvp.

No, I noticed that yesterday and didn’t really realize what was going on but the thing is you can do it while you’re sprinting when you’re morphed, you can sprint and jump up on shit. You just can’t do it from a standstill or from walking for some reason.
Im frustrated people compare this game to L2. There are no races, diverse classes, no trades, no items, no full drops, no recepies, hunting mats and recpies you need for crafting, no spoiler class, no enchant scrolls, no mages, no range... There are some elements from L2, but only 10% of it.

L2 had so many races, and each race had different tank, dps, mage classes which enhanced entire experience how each race have a different culture. Not even WOW managed to do this correctly as L2 did. No buffers, dances, songs, barely 10% of L2 was used for this game. Its such a shame because difference between this 2 games is 20 years.
There's mouseover targeting, btw. Once you set that up combat starts feeling a lot smoother because you can just keep spamming your abilities and keep doing damage when things die.
The real game doesnt start until lvl 50 when doing harder dungeons and then getting into mass pvp and siege pvp. This story is just that... a story to follow and to lvl up to 50.

This game is pretty good. I hope they cater to the Western audience a bit more and tune some of the systems to be less confusing and punishing. The fact that you can be screwed over if you invest to heavily into a build and want to switch later is a bit crazy. There's nothing that even warns you about this so it's an easy mistake to make as a beginner. Here's some things I think they should change to make this a fantastic game. More PVE content Less reliance on guilds Less punishing skill, weapon and gear investment system Easier to switch builds/playstyle Add mounts Don't become the new BDO with the best looking transmog locked behind store purchases Let us tag mobs with other people, especially during events. Make events less toxic and more about working together as players instead of against one another This game is possibly the most immersive MMO I've played. The sense of scale is insane and the visuals/scenery are the best I've seen in an MMO. They could truly have a GREAT game if they just fix some system issues. I hope they do!
Combat alone is the biggest reason to skip this game entirely. You can just tell that it was made for a auto-combat mobile game but salvaged in to this at some point. It needs a complete rework to be taken seriously.
Yeah MMOs have always had bad combat. Only one close to being good is BDO. They stand no chance against an ARPG like Elden Ring/Dragon’s Dogma/Wukong. This is why I don’t play them.
You can spot a bad Tank from how they talk: They say things that make them seem above the group or that they are not actually part of the group when a fail happens, they will exaggerate how long something is taking like "10 hours", they will say the group sucks ass, they will say it's punishment, they would rather quit instead of teach like how their parents treated them, they will often refer to playing with others as a "circle of hell" after 1 death.
Was going to pass this one up, but after watching Asmon play it.. I have it predownloaded, waiting for it to go live, and looking forward to trying the game out. Have fun to anyone who is playing!
My only hope for a good MMO to succe or even stand side by side of FFXIV and wow is leagues mmorpg, hoping to have everything and new stuff, and Riot will 100% not make it p2w even if its 0.1% buff, Combat hopefully will be exceptionally good as well and not something that looks like it was designed for auto-combat
How can so many people claim that a game like this is good when it’s not even close to the 1st one of its kind? You get to max level quickly and then spend an absolutely insane amount of time and money upgrading gear, just to be 1 shot in PvP by someone who has more irl money than you? When has that ever been fun for a normal player? WoW is not even close to as predatory or unfun as korean MMOs like this. Yall gotta stop supporting games like this. It’s like being sober while your best friends turn to drug abuse. If you’re a true fan of gaming these types of predatory games are not cool at all.
So many people have not played this game and somehow you have a more valid opinion than they do, even though it's your first MMO... amazing. :) It's pretty good and quite enjoyable to me, a veteran of many MMO's and a hard-to-please jaded old cynic myself. It's hard to enjoy it and easy to smash it if you never played it or if you want to hate it and assume it's junk from the get.

WoW PvP combat can be pretty complex. A lot of the PvE is pretty tame, but PvP is no joke at high levels. When you have all sorts of different types of abilities and buffs/debuffs/cooldowns (not just your own, but 5 other people's in a 3v3) not to mention keeping track of everyone's position in the arena it gets a hell of a lot more complicated than "dodge/parry the thing" which is what most action combat is. Not even a WoW fanboy these days but some people act like action games are these incredibly complex combat masterpieces when they're actually pretty damn simple
The combat for WoW is 100% better then this lol.... wdym. WoW literally has 2-3 specs for every class and pattern combos for every spec ontop of procs and energy management .-. ?? this is just sequence pressing and cool downs. The occasional parry, its pretty much D4 but worse lol.
Doesn’t matter how you feel the facts differ with you I did the blue quest completion is in style. I did everything in a in the region before moving to the next region. At least once I got to the tower to the observatory, I did everything cleared at all and when I got where you are, I was like three levels ahead of where I needed to be to move on into the next main story quest area.
Everyone should play this game with the understanding that NCSoft (and Amazon Games) are beholden to "US" (the players) and not the other way around. Therefore, they need to give players/users/customers a "reason" and/or incentive to (both) play their game AND make purchases in their game. They are held accountable because as a business it's their responsibility to figure out what players want and what they enjoy in an MMORPG experience. As long as that perspective is in mind, you will always have the advantage over them instead of them trying to FOMO or bait & switch you into something that you were never the target audience for. For further clarification, you might be the target audience for the "idea" of the game, but you're probably NOT the target audience for the game's business model. If you're going to play Throne and Liberty, play it for "YOUR OWN" reasons, not just because other people are playing it. Or... don't play it at all if you personally have no interest in it. No one is forced to bandwagon a game just because it's new or the hottest thing currently released. Haters and trolls are always going to hate and troll no matter what, so don't be influenced by that. They are irrelevant in your own personal decision-making. At the end of the day, it's a free-to-play game, so the barrier to entry is as low as it gets. If you think you'll like it... play it, if you think you won't... then don't play it. Overall, the playerbase/community that ACTUALLY participates and engages with the game will ultimately and inevitably decide its fate.

Yeah, but you can only do I think three of those a day and you can only get rewards by using the dimensional tokens. That’s not a way to level. It’s a way to get gear. I think the best gear comes from the top level dungeons
I wonder if Asmongold and other prominent streamers are contractually obligated to play this game since its published by amazon. You have the whole crew playing a very mediocre MMORPG with bad combat and story, yet you see these streamers almost having to force themselves to play it for only a 2 to 3 hour session.
I just did some quick research and the main story quest is the best way to level. It provides the most experience on top of that all of the various quests unlike most Korean games where you just ignore the quest thing and you go grind of these critters and then move onto a new area Requirement and kill 1 million of these critters unlike most cream games this one seems to have put the leveling experience into all the questing. That’s my opinion so far is that I see the most level increases question versus standing out there initially jumped out of the cast into the fields and started killing bees and harvesters and shed thinking that I had to level but then I realized people are getting the level 50 and 10 to 15 hours and they’ve already completed the story, and I won’t lie. I spent an inordinate amount of time doing contracts at the first time base area on top of the mountain. I can’t think what it’s called that the abandoned temple or whatever the fuck it is I did all the contracts and I was probably a mistake because I spent a lot of time 6060 contracts. I burned up there, but I guess it doesn’t matter. I spent a lot of time doing them, which gave me a lot of weapon mystery you know the do things a lot of resources but not as many levels I’ve been.
Almost nobody will be playing it in two, maybe three weeks, so don't bother investing in it. The endgame is 90% PvP. People will just do the MSQ, a few dungeons, try GvG once or twice and then be gone. At least, it's F2P, so you won't have to pay to be disapointed.

Not every game needs the same aspects like mounts. I like the transforming into something as a mount. And collect the glowing books

No, I noticed that yesterday and didn’t really realize what was going on but the thing is you can do it while you’re sprinting when you’re morphed, you can sprint and jump up on shit. You just can’t do it from a standstill or from walking for some reason.
Im frustrated people compare this game to L2. There are no races, diverse classes, no trades, no items, no full drops, no recepies, hunting mats and recpies you need for crafting, no spoiler class, no enchant scrolls, no mages, no range... There are some elements from L2, but only 10% of it.
No mage and no range? Dude, pick up staff and longbow weapon first.

L2 had so many races, and each race had different tank, dps, mage classes which enhanced entire experience how each race have a different culture. Not even WOW managed to do this correctly as L2 did. No buffers, dances, songs, barely 10% of L2 was used for this game. Its such a shame because difference between this 2 games is 20 years.

There's mouseover targeting, btw. Once you set that up combat starts feeling a lot smoother because you can just keep spamming your abilities and keep doing damage when things die.

There is never any danger in these games. His health dipped below 90% one time in 2 hours.
The real game doesnt start until lvl 50 when doing harder dungeons and then getting into mass pvp and siege pvp. This story is just that... a story to follow and to lvl up to 50.

It is not that bad. Mastery/stats can be respec for free infinitely and you would want to max out all of your weapon skills regardless of what build you end up playing.

Combat looks...soft, like there is no weight to it. The partical effects look really good, but I expect a big sword to feel chunkier.

This game is pretty good. I hope they cater to the Western audience a bit more and tune some of the systems to be less confusing and punishing. The fact that you can be screwed over if you invest to heavily into a build and want to switch later is a bit crazy. There's nothing that even warns you about this so it's an easy mistake to make as a beginner.
Here's some things I think they should change to make this a fantastic game.
More PVE content
Less reliance on guilds
Less punishing skill, weapon and gear investment system
Easier to switch builds/playstyle
Add mounts
Don't become the new BDO with the best looking transmog locked behind store purchases
Let us tag mobs with other people, especially during events.
Make events less toxic and more about working together as players instead of against one another
This game is possibly the most immersive MMO I've played. The sense of scale is insane and the visuals/scenery are the best I've seen in an MMO. They could truly have a GREAT game if they just fix some system issues. I hope they do!
Combat alone is the biggest reason to skip this game entirely. You can just tell that it was made for a auto-combat mobile game but salvaged in to this at some point. It needs a complete rework to be taken seriously.

Yeah MMOs have always had bad combat. Only one close to being good is BDO. They stand no chance against an ARPG like Elden Ring/Dragon’s Dogma/Wukong. This is why I don’t play them.

They say things that make them seem above the group or that they are not actually part of the group when a fail happens, they will exaggerate how long something is taking like "10 hours", they will say the group sucks ass, they will say it's punishment, they would rather quit instead of teach like how their parents treated them, they will often refer to playing with others as a "circle of hell" after 1 death.

I agree with the movement issue. I got stuck on the side of a cliff and couldn’t jump and move forward to get back up and it was a tiny ledge lol.
My only hope for a good MMO to succe or even stand side by side of FFXIV and wow is leagues mmorpg, hoping to have everything and new stuff, and Riot will 100% not make it p2w even if its 0.1% buff, Combat hopefully will be exceptionally good as well and not something that looks like it was designed for auto-combat

How can so many people claim that a game like this is good when it’s not even close to the 1st one of its kind? You get to max level quickly and then spend an absolutely insane amount of time and money upgrading gear, just to be 1 shot in PvP by someone who has more irl money than you? When has that ever been fun for a normal player? WoW is not even close to as predatory or unfun as korean MMOs like this. Yall gotta stop supporting games like this. It’s like being sober while your best friends turn to drug abuse. If you’re a true fan of gaming these types of predatory games are not cool at all.

It’s a paid promotion
WoW PvP combat can be pretty complex. A lot of the PvE is pretty tame, but PvP is no joke at high levels. When you have all sorts of different types of abilities and buffs/debuffs/cooldowns (not just your own, but 5 other people's in a 3v3) not to mention keeping track of everyone's position in the arena it gets a hell of a lot more complicated than "dodge/parry the thing" which is what most action combat is. Not even a WoW fanboy these days but some people act like action games are these incredibly complex combat masterpieces when they're actually pretty damn simple
The combat for WoW is 100% better then this lol.... wdym. WoW literally has 2-3 specs for every class and pattern combos for every spec ontop of procs and energy management .-. ?? this is just sequence pressing and cool downs. The occasional parry, its pretty much D4 but worse lol.

Only mmo that can beat wow combat is bdo. No tab targeting mmo can come close to wow.
Doesn’t matter how you feel the facts differ with you I did the blue quest completion is in style. I did everything in a in the region before moving to the next region. At least once I got to the tower to the observatory, I did everything cleared at all and when I got where you are, I was like three levels ahead of where I needed to be to move on into the next main story quest area.
Everyone should play this game with the understanding that NCSoft (and Amazon Games) are beholden to "US" (the players) and not the other way around. Therefore, they need to give players/users/customers a "reason" and/or incentive to (both) play their game AND make purchases in their game. They are held accountable because as a business it's their responsibility to figure out what players want and what they enjoy in an MMORPG experience.
As long as that perspective is in mind, you will always have the advantage over them instead of them trying to FOMO or bait & switch you into something that you were never the target audience for. For further clarification, you might be the target audience for the "idea" of the game, but you're probably NOT the target audience for the game's business model.
If you're going to play Throne and Liberty, play it for "YOUR OWN" reasons, not just because other people are playing it.
Or... don't play it at all if you personally have no interest in it. No one is forced to bandwagon a game just because it's new or the hottest thing currently released.
Haters and trolls are always going to hate and troll no matter what, so don't be influenced by that. They are irrelevant in your own personal decision-making.
At the end of the day, it's a free-to-play game, so the barrier to entry is as low as it gets. If you think you'll like it... play it, if you think you won't... then don't play it.
Overall, the playerbase/community that ACTUALLY participates and engages with the game will ultimately and inevitably decide its fate.

I just did some quick research and the main story quest is the best way to level. It provides the most experience on top of that all of the various quests unlike most Korean games where you just ignore the quest thing and you go grind of these critters and then move onto a new area Requirement and kill 1 million of these critters unlike most cream games this one seems to have put the leveling experience into all the questing. That’s my opinion so far is that I see the most level increases question versus standing out there initially jumped out of the cast into the fields and started killing bees and harvesters and shed thinking that I had to level but then I realized people are getting the level 50 and 10 to 15 hours and they’ve already completed the story, and I won’t lie. I spent an inordinate amount of time doing contracts at the first time base area on top of the mountain. I can’t think what it’s called that the abandoned temple or whatever the fuck it is I did all the contracts and I was probably a mistake because I spent a lot of time 6060 contracts. I burned up there, but I guess it doesn’t matter. I spent a lot of time doing them, which gave me a lot of weapon mystery you know the do things a lot of resources but not as many levels I’ve been.
Only bad thing is you have quests to lvl 30 then ur on ur own imagination 😂

Almost nobody will be playing it in two, maybe three weeks, so don't bother investing in it.
The endgame is 90% PvP. People will just do the MSQ, a few dungeons, try GvG once or twice and then be gone.
At least, it's F2P, so you won't have to pay to be disapointed.
