OP reminds me of my dad, he craves love from parents who shit on him. My grandparents have always tried to connect with me, but because of how they treat my dad, I treat them like shit. It’s a messed up cycle of my dad being overly kind and submissive and me being cold and uncaring.

As the older sister of a younger brother who suffered from reading disorders I can say it was a pleasure to watch my Mom go to bat to ensure he got the help he needed. When she would see me excelling, that just told her that he had the potential to succeed with the right leverage. Come to find out, he had his own strengths in math and science. The end result? Because of her efforts we BOTH found our footing and made strong paths for ourselves.
IKR? I never understood these parents calling their child stupid. You are their parent, right? They take after YOU!

As the family scapegoat/whipping post, I can honestly say that while much of this story resonates, the part about the family seeking therapy and trying to change was a big clanger. In fact, the treatment I received was passed on to the next generation, who have no more compassion or love for me than my own generation. People will believe anything, if it helps them to avoid emotional responsibility. I was the one who sought out therapy in my late 30's. After 20+ years, I had evolved/healed enough to deflect anything that was dished out. I WILL survive, and as @moviediva said, "No is a complete sentence."
Grow a backbone and block them. They've never cared about you. Block them and refuse to speak to them again. Let their golden child help them. Oh yeah, she can't. I thought she was a big shot lawyer.

These AI stories are just cookie cutter, mass produced works, without much individuality or freshness. In part that's the fault of the AI. But the people who have the app produce these stories don't put much effort into their outline, nor do they edit the results. I've blocked a lot of channels that present poor stories; I will continue to do so.

Because AI can write storys, but has problem with context. Most of these fake stories have multiple plotholes in them, like why she has the money to help her parents, but still has to pay of her student loans.
