Ok I've read the reasons of why they added the Diesel back to the consist but WHEN and WHERE did they add it? They left Cheyenne with No Diesel!!! I miss the 4015 if they're going to need a Diesel.
Actually it would have been great if they had added the Western Pacific heritage unit for the stop in Portola and the trip through the Feather River Canyon
Magnificent engineering.
Oh to be the conductor in the little caboose trailing at the end of the consist.
I caught it in Echo, Croyden and W 600 N outside Morgan. Old Man looked great. Great video!
What a beauty
Happy 4th!
On its way to SLC and the Rio Grande Depot!!
Its an impressive locomotive

Oh no! Why does it have a diesel behind it now...
not that much of a grade yet.
It adds dynamic braking capability.
@@plainsman For what... The couple of empty boxcars and hoppers...
@@markbass7145 rather see smoking brake shoes.
@@markbass7145 Just for some extra braking capacity, specifically for coming down Weber Canyon.
I thought nanny diesel was gone ... wtf 😮🙀
They’ve installed PTC but they announced that they will continue to have the diesel to minimize wear on the custom brake shoes of the Big Boy
@@robertcooper6853 they need to make a set of dynamic braking boxcars for big boy.
