    What a great film. Makes one proud to have a bit of Ireland in the blood.

    This movie full me of happiness like every classic comedy of those times in Cinema, no CGI could bare good actors... dialogues... screenplay... directors. That must be teached at school.

    "He'll regret it til his dying day....if ever he lives that long!" haha I love Maureen O'Hara...such a natural beauty! And her playing an Irish lass is so perfect...kinda like com'n home for her.

    The Duke tries to plant a garden behind White ‘o Morn and digs up rock after rock. 😆 That’s brutal work, believe me, and very accurate to Ireland’s soil.

    There is an Irish girl I used to know a few years ago. She could melt my heart just by looking at her I went weak at the knees.. She split up from her fella within the year and her heart was still full of pain and loss.. I didn't know this when I asked if I could see her.. she said she "wasn't ready for a relationship" so I respected that and backed off.. Years passed and we lost touch with each other.. I wonder how she is now and if she feels ok? I hope she does because she deserves to be happy..

    Who was that tiny maid that ushers in Squire Dannaher to speak with the Widow Tullane? This movie is filled with wonderful character actors.

    • @brianindge8824
      @brianindge8824 6 лет назад +5

      Joe P, the name of the actress playing the maid was Tiny Jones who died the same year the film was made aged 76.

    • @joep8787
      @joep8787 6 лет назад +8

      76 doesn't seem so old. I'm glad John Ford immortalized her by putting her into this movie.

      Tiny Jones was maid Marion’s chamber maid in the Errol Flynn ‘Robin Hood’. Can never forget a mug like that. I think she shacks up with Friar Tuck at the end of the movie (you should check that guy out!)

    much of the story is cut out.. but even the edited version is soo much better than anything you can get today from the bullshit cg editors who cannot write and tell a story.. better take a good look cause there is not any more stories nor movies like this.. folks are not taught to use their minds and imaginations any more.. this is is my friends.

      The Cowboys is my #1 film for the Duke. Look into it, best coming of age film ever made. Also, I suggest you look at the films Art M suggested and a few others that were popular. A little exploration of your own instead of listening to what others told you would make you better off.
