    Just what I needed. Thanks for posting this. I've had my QC for a couple of weeks and I'm constantly blown away by its flexibility.

    I’m happy I stumbled upon this video. I’m the hunt for a new amp setup (currently “ampless” since I had to return my Revv G20 amp under warranty… long story). I’ve been pointed into the direction of the QC and the Tonex pedal. Still on the fence, mainly due to price and quality of tone, but this video provided some good, “non-salesy” insight into the QC. 🙏

    Can’t wait to try this out. I have both the Maiden and the Page TS and haven’t captured them yet. Haven’t captured anything yet actually. Just got the QC. Love your tones. Very helpful. I didn’t know about the long press.

      Yeah, scenes were one aspect of the QC I didn't jump into right away. But they are really useful.

    After a few months with the QC-this video was simply eye opening!!!!!!!!!
    That "long press" button to turn devices on? Priceless!!
    Put it this way-I haven't even created anything-been using presets, plus the one I got from you and recording. I haven't even thought of "Scenes"
    Am I correct in thinking you would use "Scenes" for "Live" use?
    Thank you Sir!!👍👍

    • @davlavmusic7070
      @davlavmusic7070  2 месяца назад

      Yes, scenes are a great choice for live since it is the best way to switch tones without any signal interruptions (like you'd get switching presets).

    Good to see this. I’m thinking about switching from Helix to QC next year. But I have a bunch of snapshots setup per song on my Helix (settings for verses and tempos for delays all set up). In comparison to Helix it seems a little clunky without the desktop editor, but you confirmed my suspicion of starting with everything off to then setup your scenes!
    Hopefully the desktop editor will come soon, and make this process easier!

    • @davlavmusic7070
      @davlavmusic7070  Год назад

      I think the desktop editor is imminent. Unfortunately, all the Apple upgrades for the plug-ins out QC stuff in the back burner...

    Just discovered your channel. You have a lot of great content and a huge QC playlist so I immediately subscribed to your channel and followed you on Cortex Cloud.
    May I ask a couple of questions? A) are the sounds in this particular video from a single coil or humbucker, or both? B) What is your typical input gain in dB set to?
    I have immediately noticed that this preset sounds way hotter on my rig (I’m going into overdrive in scene E [clean, no boost]).
    Many thanks for your great content.

    • @davlavmusic7070
      @davlavmusic7070  10 месяцев назад +1

      I'm typically always using a guitar with a single coil in the neck and a humbucker in the bridge. I never adjust my input level so its always at 0 dB. If you're using a guitar with hotter pickups it's likely that it you'd end up with more overdrive on these presets. Sorry for not being specific on what guitar I'm using - it's something that others have pointed out and I'm trying to remember to do that in each video.

    • @DebowyMocny

      @@davlavmusic7070 Thanks for taking the time to respond. I also use a HSS Strat style so should be good. I see, it must be the input gain that sends me into overdrive on this patch. I have mine adjusted, so that hard strumming peeks at around -12 to -10db on the meter, which meant 15db input boost setting as opposed to your 0. That was the advice on the forums. I will lower that to zero tomorrow which should make the patch sound like intended! Many thanks.

    • @davlavmusic7070
      @davlavmusic7070  10 месяцев назад

      If you could point me to where you heard that advice I'd like to see it. First I've heard it. I always keep my presets at 0 dB and have never had any complaints, either myself or from anyone who's downloaded my presets.

      I was just about to reply. I usually always share any preset that is in the videos to some extent. Only expecting might be if I'm demoing captures that I paid for. But even some of those are there and will work if you buy those captures.

    Is there a way to use scene or stomp mode per preset?? Because on QC if you use stomp/scene mode, it is impossible to come back for stomp mode using the 2 switchs shortcut in a live situation. If 1 preset you use stomp/scene and in other preset you use stomp mode, you will have big troubles...sometimes i miss the flexibility of helix..

    • @davlavmusic7070
      @davlavmusic7070  9 месяцев назад +1

      No, that's one of the things I called out in my video on hybrid mode. I agree - you should be able to set a parameter on each preset that sets its optimal mode.

  • @MrJongker

    hi bro,i want to ask about scene modes.
    Why do scene settings change after saving?When I save the settings in scene C, the settings in scenes A and B also change. Especially when I add a preamp to scene C.
    thank you very much🙏🏻🙏🏻

    • @davlavmusic7070

      Make sure you are doing the long press (and seeing the 4 boxes in the upper left) for every setting you want to be scene specific. If you don't do that, anytime you change a setting, it will change it for the whole preset.

    I appreciate the content. However, I wish to offer some constructive feedback. As a viewer, I suggest that auto-focus be turned off on a stationary object. It’s hard enough to discern/read what’s being pressed with the hand in front, but then the camera shifts focus to the back of the hand, which then blurs out the QC grid; impossible to read. The back-and-forth focusing makes for a tiresome watch. Thanks
