That describes pretty much all of these vanity projects. There is a reason that the empire state building is still always used when talking about heights of skyscrapers and big ben when talking about clock towers.
@deanjohnson1736 what's your point? London or England themselves couldn't build Big Ben today anyway. No city builds like that anymore. And even if Dubai did build a building like the character of Big Ben, you'd still complain that they're just copying them. No matter what Dubai does, you'll complain.
Yes it still amazes me daily when I drive around. Looks nothing like 1995 when I arrived here. Highest building in the Middle East at that time the Dubai World Trade Center at 33 floors you could see from anywhere. Now you can not see it at all unless you stand next to it.
Great video. The only thing I do not think makes sense that was mentioned is that Palm Jebel Ali will have good views of Burj Khalifa. It is 30 KM or more away from it. You likely can see it far away, maybe a few days a year when the sky is perfectly clear.
While they say in the US, "don't buy beach front, climate change will mean rising oceans". Those same politicians and celebrities are buying us beach front like it's going out of style and heavily invest even in Hawaii and the beach front coastal areas. We see Dubai heavily investing in the oceans not rising by building these mega beach living palms. So whose right? All one has to do is look at old waterlines and see. The statue of liberty's waterline is exactly where it was when the French gifted it to the United States. This is impressive imo.
they stopped it because the saudis failed to build the 1 kilometer high skyscraper. If Saudi was to build the Jeddah skyscraper, Dubai would greenlight the construction of the Creek tower
there is no way in hell that palm jebel ali is completed with the next 10 years, let alone in 2027. dubai's economic crisis are not over and will hold a lid over this palm island for a long time. you can see how much longer it took for palm jumeirah to be built. at one point it was uncertain whether it will be finished at all. and then there is the disaster called world islands which is essentially the same as the palm islands only not in the shape of a palm. that one was also supposed to be completed by now, yet not even 20% is finished.
He mentioned "tallest residential clock tower" not a "tallest clock tower" 😊 please before correcting someone check the video first. Now it's your turn to do your homework!
Is the clock tower really necessary? 😂
Essential maybe 😂
People dubai have apple watchs and smartphones!
This is exactly what Dubai needed!!! Some more mega-tall buldings !!! What a game changer !
😂😂

I now want to hear of them making the world's smallest.....
That clock tower can be as tall as it wants, doesn't have an ounce of the character of Big Ben

F ur gay Big Ben 😂

How cool!

Simply amazing how far this city has come in 20 years.

How about build something useful ?
Thy have it, almost everything and money. So what is the rest than to build tourist atractions....
Like a sewer line for the Burj Kalifa? That would be useful.
Did you watch the video?
Isn’t it time to give up on the failed island reclamations?
Failed in your own mind only. It's thriving in reality.
Nope... Homes prices there are falling with very little interest from buyers..

Cover burj azizi tower
What happened to all previous projects which just did not happen? Like Dubai creek tower? New ski slope ? …
they stopped it because the saudis failed to build the 1 kilometer high skyscraper. If Saudi was to build the Jeddah skyscraper, Dubai would greenlight the construction of the Creek tower
Dubai is the Miami version of the middle east. That's it!
So the clock tower will be bigger than the clock tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia?
What a crock. Combo of other videos. Just the dates were changed. AI voiceover.
So I don't have to waste my life watching it? Thanks for the tip.
what is this "lee-zur"?
That Dubia clock tower will stand e test o time as Big ben🤔
They really should just burn the money.

Please do your homework better than that … Have you looked at Makkah clock tower its still the tallest clock tower in the world 601 meters high !!!

Can someone actually will be able to use the tower to read the time at these heights?
