I adore this song! As a straight woman it's wonderful to have a great song like this that makes you feel super fine and on top of the world without the extra added baggage of being objectified, you know. Or "you're cute but you don't know it". This is just straight up "you're great as you are and if he can't see that, his loss. You can have fun". Such a fun, funky and cheeky song!

There are so many aspects to this video that just make it brilliant. First, the whole thing, they are performing like they're in front of a monster crowd, from beginning to end. This in spite of the fact that they're in a severely underpopulated nightclub with, like, five customers. I loved that. The flashy sparkly outfits, the butt slap, the perpetual happy faces... The deep bows at the end of the routine. Roses should have been hitting the stage at that point.
The lyrics are funny and fabulous -

The guy in the Polka Dots (Parker Kit Hill, it says here) is awesome. My favorite part is when he oozed over the back of the couch and it fell over - pretty sure that jerky flail wasn't scripted! In this video, he's kind of like a fairy godmother, causing a touch of romance to bloom in his wake. By the end of the video, he's achieved 100% success in matching people up.
I'm not totally sure, as the actors aren't named, but I believe the phone guy is the same guy who's in the official "A-ha!" video.
Every woman should at least have one gay friend. Period.
Especially if they are named Scott and Mitch.
